Very best movie i ever watch
The Worst Film Ever
It is not only a funny movie, but it allows a great amount of joy for anyone who watches it.
View MoreI really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
View MoreAfter the misstep of the American Taxi film (which compressed the three French films into one gender reversed tale) Luc Besson tries to strike gold again with a new film with the original cast.Picking up several years after the last film, with the two buddies Taxi driver Daniel and Cop Emilien dealing with their own kids as well as a Belgian super criminal the police force is assigned to watch for 24 hours. Of course things go wrong and the criminal escapes leading to assorted troubles along the way.Its an amusing revisit with some good friends. More amusing than than funny (though there are enough laughs to make it worth a trip) this is a rambling film that would have been better had it not been a Taxi film. Forgive me, the previous Taxi films have set a rather high bar for controlled insanity and car chases. here there is insanity and silliness, but of a kinder gentler sort. Other than the opening get the passenger to the soccer pitch there really isn't any car chases and Daniel is given very little to do but be a dad, which is fine, but I really wanted another chase or two. Those wanting action scenes will not be disappointed by the over the top send up of Scarface that ends the film, which does provide the film with some solid laughs.I liked the film. I laughed a great deal. I shouldn't be picky especially since the characters are still the characters and anytime with them is well spent. If you're a fan this is definitely worth a look. If you've never seen a real Taxi film (The American version does not count) see one of the others first (preferably all of the others in order they are some of the best comedies of the last 10 years)
View MoreI'm a big fan of Taxi and the sequels, however I have to say that too much is too much. Besson movies are going from bad to worst. Yes Commissaire Gibert is still as funny, yes Emilien is as clumsy and yes Petra is still one of the Hotest woman on earth (especially with her German accent in French), but no they can't save the movie. Daniel and the drive stunt are almost inexistent in the movie and aside from seeing the pair seating in the taxi spying outside the Bank and then outside the Villa there is nothing to be amazed with. Is it because of the real life judicial troubles of Daniel actor's Sami Naceri that prevented a more important presence in the movie? Possibly, but then why did Besson had to release the movie that early? Greed may be? The humour is there, some action too, but the spirit is gone. It's a barely OK movie, already many fans found it disappointing, it was may be the movie too much. Do not spend money to watch it, this is my only advice to not feel robbed. And for Luc Besson it's about time that he drops is big head of having been one of the few French movie directors to have made it to Hollywood and that he goes back to the movie style we loved from him (Big Blue, Leon/The professional, the 5th Element, Taxi 1&2, Angel-A...)
View Morethis is the first serious comment I'm trying to make on IMDb.com I'm a serious movie lover --> i watch a lot of movies.i don't care if this comment doesn't make it till the front page, for everyone to read, but i just got to get this of my chest: this is, by far, the worst movie i have ever seen. bring me "glitter", bring me "crossroads", bring me "spy kids 3d", bring me "son of the mask".if i had the choice of watching the four movies listed over in a Saturday night movie marathon, i would seriously have problems making the right decision.the acting i terrible, the script is some of the worst i have ever seen, the plot is hopeless, the action scenes are dull and short, the humor just simply isn't there.i only got one question left why did i pay real money to watch this?
View MoreSuch a sorrow in the heart is to say this is the dumbest thing produced by Besson ever. No wonder why such a brilliant actor as Marion Cotillard have decided to not participate. The so called plot is being tied with white string all over, not to say about the moronic behaviors of all characters. Monsier Besson obviously was in deeper need of cash, there is no other explanation of such a turkey. The final scene where commissar Gilbert is trying to demolish his entire team by shooting them first with machine gun then with missiles is so pathetic it's even funny. Hopefully this is the very end of the merchandise. This movie does not deserve 10th line but here it is - I give it 1/10 just because of the old glory.
