What a freaking movie. So many twists and turns. Absolutely intense from start to finish.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Solidly acted story of the things that can get out of control when YOU'RE out of control. It's not presented as preachy or a moral lesson, but when you're drugging' and running' with the hoods in all the usual places they frequent, well...stuff happens that isn't always pleasant. There was one huge gap in storyline nearer to the end that drove me NUTS - how could you not notice that she...!! - but a good, albeit disturbing, film overall. The actors generally play reality straight, and don't drag the film down by over-the-top portrayals of character types, and that I appreciated. I think I was extra disturbed by this film based on the fact it was shot in Oregon, where I live, and that they chose the town of Keizer (evidenced by a police uniform early on, that is actually known to be really druggy and high-crime.

By about 25 minutes in I knew what was going on.. but I was still entertained! It was a really slow start but then after 15-20 minutes it started getting a lot better.. You really should stay through until the end though if you haven't figured things out 25-30 minutes in like I did.I also have no idea what I could compare this to either, it is a bit unique to me which is why I I was entertained.. I like originality.. so if you can sit through the slow start without giving up like one of the other reviewers then you'll probably enjoy it.I would have rated it higher if it weren't for some bad acting moments and the really slow start.

Initially, this movie caught my attention due to the cover/poster and it's title. Then I was a bit intrigued about how little was written in regards to the plot summaries. So I decided to find out for myself! There were a couple of points where it dragged a little and I almost stopped watching, but I am really glad that I watched it to the end! For those of you who are looking for gore, this isn't for you... for those of you looking for standard horror/thriller clichés, you won't find what you're expecting. But for those of you who can truly stand in front of a mirror and be honest with yourself about what and who you see in that reflection, then you'll appreciate every moment of this movie!

No doubt in my mind there are some very sick cookies in this mad world of ours...we only have to see the "Saw" films 1-6 which were horror in the extreme...and so we now deal with "Terrible Angels" OK so it's certainly not for the faint hearted, within the first few minutes when you see someone buried underground with a tube for water and food...you just know this could give you nightmares, especially when we have just seen "The Raven" and the Edger Allen Po story dealing with the live burial of his lady friend...anyway "Terrible Angels" is far from a fast paced thriller...it drags on until we see Linda Grossel (Una Jo Blade) get kidnapped, she ends up as a prisoner with a wire rope and chain around her neck in some wooded area away from the civilisation...worse still there are tubes out of the ground, then the horror of people underground in coffins, they beg her for water...begging to be let out...the horror continues, backwards and forwards to her whilst being interviewed....she recalling what has happened to her...disbelief from her interrogator Ben Nolan(Michael Madsen)...this film is certainly thought provoking, and although she gets away, twice I will not actually spoil the ending, for this was just so unexpected it will leave you just asking "What the hell is this all about?" there are some sick cookies as previously mentioned that can write this stuff...if it is supposed to be based on real life God help us (if he exists at all?)
