During the '80s, a young man named Frankie dreams of escaping London's South East region, and his mother's thug of a boyfriend gives him just the opportunity. After beating up the abusive beau, Frankie runs off to Spain, where he lands a job delivering a package to the dapper Playboy Charlie, a gangster who takes him under his wing. Working as Charlie's driver, Frankie is immersed in a world of fast cars and pretty women -- but all the excess could be his undoing.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

Another British gangster flick filled with more cockneys than a south east cafe, Nick Love is at it again like his best mate Ritchie and to be fair to him he does make a solid flick. All the usual suspects are back again from Love's previous film to portray your common bunch of English criminals up to no good but this time they are all on the continent in Spain living it up with booze, drugs, sand n sex. Its pretty much exactly what Spain is really like around the coast, full of Brit chavs and Brits with money all fat and tanned looking like Del Trotter.Nothing new to see here plot wise, its all about drug dealing, beating people up and the odd double cross but it is made and directed well looking spot on for its 80's setting. Love is a pro at getting that 80's look like his other film 'The Firm' and this film is probably his best so far, they all are cockney based plots of course. Not too different from 'Layer Cake' but not as good, close but this came one year too late basically and was beaten to the punch by Vaughn's film. On the plus side the film has a great soundtrack but you do get the impression Love has crammed in as many classic 80's tunes as possible just to get a good soundtrack deal for sales.5/10

It's everything to expect from a Nick Love Brit flick, slick, entertaining one liners, bad guys and worse guys. The 80's soundtrack created the grant theft auto vice city ambiance, it's like Scarface meets Benidorm.Dyer, Hassan et al are heavily type cast in these roles as London geezers, but they play them so well I can't imagine anyone else being able to do it. Lets remember one thing when I read through the overly critical reviews that this film is pure entertainment, it doesn't take itself too seriously so it shouldn't be taken too seriously. This is the ultimate lads film for the Nuts and Zoo generation.

I never heard of "The Business" before deciding to watch it.This film is funny, maintained its 80's era charm, but was still an action-packed film with much deceiving among its' character's. Somewhat resembles Scarface... Rise-n-fall within the drug world. As with any successful drug business... Greed destroys people's ambitions.I wanna see this film again, but I cannot find it anywhere! I have been looking for "The Business" for over a year.**** Does anyone know where to find a Free-Link to "The Business" ??**** Please, Post the Link!**** ANYONE HAVE THIS LINK ??.

This is fairly typical Nick Love fare with Danny Dyer playing 'Frankie' the teenager who wishes to escape the boredom of inner-city London and his Father slapping his Mother around every weekend when he's had a skin-full so he makes the break and takes the 'job' to deliver a parcel to a man named Charlie at his bar in Malaga in Spain. This opens-up a whole new World to Frankie who gets a wad of notes thick enough to choke a horse from Charlie for making the delivery along with the directions to spruce himself-up. Charlie (Tamer Hassan) take to each other like a duck to water.NOT so when Charlie introduces Frankie' to his best friend Sammy Brooks who Charlie has known since early schooldays.Sammy - played by Geoff Bell takes an immediate dislike to Frankie and this leads to one problem after the other for our young Cockney on his first foray abroad? Add to this Sammys' love interest trying to get Frankies trousers off and there is Drama and Comedy all thrown in the mix.All in all a quite good film that I've only marked down because I can't stand the OBNOXIOUS BELL who ALWAYS seems to play the know-it-all, big-mouth in the gang in his films and who must be a very good and convincing actor because I'm sure he's nice in real life?
