Tied for the best movie I have ever seen

I was totally surprised at how great this film. You could feel your paranoia rise as the film went on and as you gradually learned the details of the real situation.
View MoreGreat example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
View MoreScientist Simon Shane (Hindle) is working on a project which will create human clones of himself. Years of failed experiments with his mentor (Bellamy) at his side have yielded breakthroughs but not a successful final product though one is set to be unleashed within days. With his mentor kidnapped and a mysterious new party having presented itself with designs on the project which are suspicious at best, Simon accelerates the project and clones himself a dozen times maintaining a telepathic link with each of his fully grown "children" each of whom is an exact replica of him with all of his memories and capabilities. This pilot TV movie would have made for an interesting TV series if it had been picked up by NBC.Hindle, a guy in possession of a more noticeable Canadian accent than I have (Than most Canadians have) does nothing to try to lesson the Canadian inflections and rhythm in his vocal cadences to try to sound American or even just less Canadian. I guess it was thought that Americans either wouldn't notice or would just think that the character was from Alaska.I am all for cloning Canadian actors such as Art Hindle. We can send one version to California to make American movies and keep one in Canada to do films here.
View MoreIf you like good old fashion science fiction, then this is a great movie!! I saw it on television years ago and have never seen it anywhere since. It is great viewing for the whole family; what I would call a great Saturday afternoon movie. The ending is really great, as it adds a twist that you'd never expect and gives the audience a great deal to ponder, especially with all of the talk that's going on about cloning. The problem is, I can't seem to find this movie anywhere. I'd love to get my hands on a copy. Does anyone out there, by chance have a copy of it or know where I might find one? DVD is preferred, but VHS is okay too.
