It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
View MoreThe film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
View MoreAt first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
View MoreThis film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
View MoreSuch a light and fun movie- definitely going to watch this one more than once and I suggest you do as well!To start off, I wasn't quite sure what to expect at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. I first saw this at the Atlantic City Film Festival (where it won numerous awards, I might add, and very much deserved each of them). The character dynamics are interesting, the incredibly rigid, irritating, and uptight Helen is portrayed impeccably (as are the rest of the various colorful characters- it was fun to recognize Eric Millegan from Bones!), and there's always just so much going on. The storytelling technique is excellent, interweaving the stories of different individuals, taking the viewer on a crazy ride right along with all of its characters.I couldn't believe the club was a set. It was so well-made, I was 100% convinced it was an actual place. I was absolutely blown away upon finding out that it wasn't.All in all, very enjoyable!
