Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.

Lack of good storyline.

.Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of watching "THE DEVIANTS", and surprisingly I enjoyed it very much. It was very funny and so well written that it didn't make me wanna skip a single scene. "THE DEVIANTS" revolves around Norm and Monique, who work as two matchmakers on "HOPELESS ROMANTICS", and their main priority is to find each one of their kinky clients the right partner.Norm "Doug Dezzani" was extremely sexy and I wouldn't mind dating him in a heartbeat! Monique "Tamara Curry" was very likable. "Johanna Black", who played Norm's girlfriend Madeline, was pretty bitchy and she reminded me of me, hee hee! "Tiffany Shepis", who played Marina The Nudist and appeared on Destiny's Child "NASTY GIRL", was outrageous and funny. "David Sandercot", aka The Jerky Nude Guy, had an a**holic attitude but still f***able, hee hee! Here's one of the funniest and memorable scenes in the movie, and it's a conversation between Norm and Madeline:I'm breaking up with you cuz we're not compatible with each other. What do you mean? On physical terms we are perfect for each other, but we don't compliment each other emotionally. What? Last night I complemented you on the way you f**ked me! All in all, I really recommend watching this movie, and for some reason it reminds me of "WHIPPED" starring Amanda Peet, so if you liked that movie, then you'll definitely like this one too.

Finding love is rough. Finding love when you have an obsession for toe sucking self love is a mission for Hopeless Romantics. Norm (Doug Dezzani) and Monique (Tamara Curry), matchmakers extraordinaire, take a scientific approach to helping their "challenged" clients find true love while embracing some very hilarious kinks. So how do you find true love for a pool boy whose greatest pleasure is tinkling in your pool? Is there hope for a man whose sensual fires burn brightest while decked out in Mexican wrestling regalia? Can one find a nice, normal guy who understands a penchant for collecting very personal hairs? Find out with the charming cast of THE DEVIANTS. This gem of a movie is a riot. Where it could go with booty jokes and shock value, it offers a very human and endearing (and FUNNY) approach to tackling sex and romance. The booty jokes are there, but clever writing (co-written by Doug Dezzani) and an excellent soundtrack from Robert Wayne Johnson give one a sense of "awww" instead of "ewww". The cinematography is excellent with vivid colors and some great wipes. There are moments of "that ain't right", but mostly solid performances and fabulous sound carry one through to the delicious end in what can be described as a fun romp. (I LOVE a movie one can describe with the word romp!) In a society where the word breast is usually followed with a naughty giggle it is a treat to find THE DEVIANTS. We are such a sex obsessed culture, yet discussing upside down orgasms is usually met with a "you have issues" attitude. Here finally is a movie that treats the wackier side of love with good natured humor and characters you really root for while frankly and riotously approaching the varied sexual aspects of the perv in all of us. This flick was shot in 17 days with a minimal budget, but the production quality belies that fact. There are a few groan moments, but overall i had a blast watching THE DEVIANTS, as did pretty much everyone I have ever met. LMAO and have been sitting my pals down for over 6 months now (ever since my first viewing) to spread the joy. And fill them in on why i laugh hysterically every time i go swimming or do certain yoga positions. Contains nudity, but rarely vulgarity, and gives new and fun meaning to there is someone out there for everyone. Thanks to Reid Waterer and Doug Dezzani for the giggles!

I cannot see why anyone would make such a movie. From start to finish this film is really, really bad.The characters are all very shallow, terribly acted and downright annoying. There is absolutely nothing going on below the surface at all with either characters or plot. The 'humour' if you can call it that is aimed at an adult audience ( I presume from the language and nudity) although it comes across as mainly toilet humour and would have problems even drawing a smile from a half-witted 16 year old.I would recommend avoiding this excuse for a comedy. It has nothing whatsoever that would appeal to a film fan. Non-existent laughs and a plot that barely exists lead me to ask "Why has this film been made, why, why, why?"I expect in the fullness of time to see this film topping the top 100 worst films.

As much as we might welcome a film that deals with people who have different challenges in the area of romance, I cannot shake off the feeling that this movie was intended as a direct-to-video grade-C porn movie in which either A) the actors backed out of doing the explicit scenes or B) the producers ran out of money to hire for the inserts (an amazing thing if it were true).I had to go back to Blockbuster to figure out why on earth I had rented it, which was due to an admittedly amateurish gullibility regarding the cover blurbs, which seemed to imply a seditious John Waters-style humor-fest with a sexual theme. Okay, I laughed a couple of times and it definitely has a sexual theme (although most of it can't be described as stimulating in any way). But, on some movies you might rewind to make sure you heard the dialog correctly--on this one, you fast-forward because you already know what they're about to say. But there's nothing to fast-forward to, so just fast-forward past it on the shelf.
