Purely Joyful Movie!

How sad is this?

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

This is a fascinating documentary for anyone interested in what it takes to fight for international justice. Following the efforts to get a former dictator from Chad prosecuted, the viewer gets true insight in the commitment and personal sacrifice it takes from individuals willing to work in this field, in this case a Human Rights Watch lawyer. Interesting approach of the subject matter by following in parallel the lives of the Dictator Hunter and a victim, each with their own, very different, backgrounds and motivations, working towards the same goal. The film follows the main characters over an extended period of time in various places in the world. Very interesting footage of African and other leaders at the African Union summit.
