All that we are seeing on the screen is happening with real people, real action sequences in the background, forcing the eye to watch as if we were there.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

Bob the Moo is a wonderful reviewer. His reviews are usually very detailed and I almost always find myself agreeing with him (provided, of course, I'd seen the film in question). However, this is an odd case where I have almost the opposite opinion about the film! This doesn't happen every day! While he liked the art and not the story, I felt differently. Although the art was very original, it also was very loud and simplistic--it just didn't do a lot for me. I did like the backgrounds that looked very Parisian, but that is all. However, the story of a dog with a cat trapped inside made a lot of sense to me--especially since I have three cats and a dumb dog who really does think that he's a cat (or the cats are really dogs). This being trapped in the wrong body could of course be a metaphor for transsexuality and perhaps that was the film makers' intention--but I sure could relate to a much more basic and superficial meaning behind the film.Overall, a pleasant diversion but not a film you should rush to see.

However the conflict cannot go on forever and the two learn the hard way to find common ground and work out something for themselves.I watched this not really sure what to expect - I mean the title could suggest all sorts of crazy animated stuff. I was a little let down to see that it physically was a dog who had a visible cat inside him. However it managed to still be interesting even if I think I lost the point a little too easily. Is it saying that if we have one face on the outside but also inner desires that control us and make us unhappy that we should just let it go and find someone to make us happy? I would have preferred if the film had concluded that the inner `cat' must be released - surely if we are a dog then we must live like a dog either that or `come out' as a cat? It can't be healthy to have conflicting desires. That aside the animation is bright and clever. I enjoyed watching it even though I worried that the animation would be some sort of student pretentious stuff. Melchior did a good job with the animation even if the plot didn't work as well for me.Overall this is just over 4 minutes long so it isn't time wasted by any means. The plot may be wrong in it's point if you dig too deep into it, but at the surface it is cheerful and the animation is very clever and well done.
