everything you have heard about this movie is true.
View MoreIt's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
View MoreThe movie really just wants to entertain people.
One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
View MoreThe 1979-88 sitcom get their own TV movie. And it's not bad. "The Facts of Life" go to gay Paris. An experience for the girls to enjoy European life. This is perfect for Blair Warner(Lisa Whelchel), she loves to shop. Mrs. Edna Garrett(Charlotte Rae) is working at a French cooking school where she has her ups and downs. Tootie and Natalie(Kim Fields & Mindy Cohn) help a author make it big. And tough girl Jo(Nancy McKeown) finds l'amour(Love) there. Everyone in the movie is trying to find their way in life. Each one has their story to tell, each one knows what they want to do in life. Blair who is known for her high-class style shows it off very well. Tootie and Natalie are tighter than thieves, put their friendship to the test when they help out the Parisian author struggling to be successful. Kinda ring a bell there? And the tomboy Jo, she starts to understand love through her tough girl exterior. Knowing that she can be tough and sweet at the same time. A very rare gem, but if you can see it, you'll never forget it! 3 out of 5 stars!
View MoreIt was an excellent TV movie.. I wish they would put it on DVD.... Would love to have a copy.... So when they put it on DVD I will be buying a copy... The show is back on TV weeknights at 7'30pm.. I am so glad it was one of the better shows in the 1970's. My favorite was Jo, Nancy McKeon.... She is a great actress... She has been in some really good TV movies.. The show only got better after she joined the cast.. If you get to watch the reruns I think you will really enjoy the show.. Hopefully they will one day put the Facts of Life goes to Paris on DVD, so we can enjoy it over and over again... Really good show, great bunch of girls on it..
View MoreMrs. Garrett's working in a school in Paris. Wealthy Blair goes off by herself in search for... well, shopping. Nat and Tootie decide to help a Parisan author. And tough Jo - Jo finds romance that could lead her to live in Paris. So it's no wonder that this is a TV movie of the 79-88 sitcom the Facts of Life. So many things happen; so little time, but les filles (girls in French) each explore Paris in their own way during the two hours the movie airs. Not on videotape, but it did air on nick at nite. Catch if it does. Because you don't want to miss this!
