Wonderful character development!
The greatest movie ever made..!
That was an excellent one.
The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
View MoreBeing a fan of independent cinema I was curious about this homegrown effort albeit it had been released some five years ago. Interesting storyline and backdrop and good plot spoilt by the complete inability to warm to either character and I appreciate this may have been done on purpose. The character of David just descended into absolute farce as the film progressed and it was difficult to keep the trigger finger of the stop button as the film ran on for it's less than lengthy duration. In summary a good idea spoilt by badly acted characters, could have been so much better. I would not necessarily give up on subsequent efforts from this director.
View MoreIntelligently written (and also nicely underwritten), well acted, and strikingly shot and directed for a reported budget of about $7,000. This Scottish film is about two very different, and distant, angry, brothers forced into taking taking a road trip together to find out just what their father left them – all they get at first is a key and an enigmatic note about the need to travel to Skye to find the answer. I did feel the ending (which I won't reveal) was a letdown for the film, feeling far less sophisticated, believable and complex than most of the movie itself. But while that was enough to put a ding in the experience, it was far from enough to ruin it.
