Why so much hype?

If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.

Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

But this isn't a series, it's a movie, so it's listed wrong but the description is correct. Not Sorvino's best movie, but I've seen a LOT worse. At least I was entertained. :D

Female archaeologist Tess Chaykin goes chasing an arcade medieval decoder, which is stolen from the New York Metropolitan Museum by four horsemen dressed as 12th century knights.She's helped by an FBI agent Sean Daley.The Last Templar is a mini-series from 2009, and it's directed by Paolo Barzman.It's based on the 2005 novel by Raymond Khoury, which I haven't read.In this mini-series the lead is played by Mira Sorvino.Rebecca Windheim plays her daughter Kim.The male lead is played by Scott Foley.Victor Garber plays Monsignor De Angelis.Kenneth Welsh portrays Bill Vance.Omar Sharif plays the part of Konstantine.I saw this show on a DVD a little while back.It doesn't offer you great adventure like those Indiana Jones movies.And it is much closer to The Da Vinci Code, which was also about a secret the Vatican doesn't want you to know.There is some entertainment value this has to offer.Like Mira Sorvino chasing those horsemen, on a horse, is really something to see.So if you don't expect too much and want just to be entertained, you should watch this.

This movie includes stereotype against Muslim like many western oriented movies. The history knowledge of the scenarist is very limited that it is shown in the movie as if Mamelukes and Ottomans empires existed at the same time when Jerusalem conquered by Muslims. The scene in Bodrum-Turkey where they shoot the movie is not Bodrum at all and the plates number of the cars are wrong. In the movie, Turkey is represented as Arabic countries camels sands, cloths etc, it is not so actually. In Bodrum- Turkey, you may not even see native people, but tourists, since it is one of the most attractive touristic place in Turkey. Overall, it is not a good movie.

The Last Templar, with its mysterious and catchy title, does not contain the necessary excitement and the right information. Especially the part about Bodrum, Turkey... Really... Please.. Hollywood... I'm talking to you... Since you're the capital of the World for Film Production, when you make a movie, the whole world watches... That's why you should be more careful in giving out the true and updated information. First of all, there is no sand or dessert in Bodrum. Bodrum is now one of the hottest jet-set spots in the world. You might not spot a single camel but there are plenty of 100-foot-plus megayachts and Bentleys. You might not spot a woman with a turban but there are thousands of Turkish ladies with bikinis. Would Paul Allen of Microsoft or Billionaire Roman Abramovic bring their 400 foot yachts to a 'awful place' called Bodrum... like they show in the movie? You decide. I hope you understand the point I'm trying to make...
