n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

It's like Inception - only plottier (and better in my opinion)! It's a plot inside a plot inside a plot inside possibly a dream (?)! Everybody gets a happy ending (apart from Hilary) - I particularly like Herr's, Geoff is the hero and we get to see all the main characters in what I like to think of as James Bond outfits! It even stars one of the writers! The whole idea reminds me so much of that squid from Red Dwarf (for those who have never heard of such a thing, that's a good comment). I personally don't think it could get better than this, what a perfect way to round off Royston Vasey.I've only watched the first series or so and random episodes from other series' of the League of Gentlemen due to my dad really loving it. I found it odd but generally liked it. Apparently I'm too young to get the majority of their humour so when I heard of this film I had my doubts. However these were quickly quelled when I discovered the main characters, I mean Herr Lipp (however you spell it) and Hilary aren't exactly my favourite characters, but Geoff? They really did something right there! And I grew to love the others just as much in the process, I couldn't help but sympathise with sweet Herr Lipp and I'm not sure why I ended up liking Hilary - maybe just his determination and evilness? My point is I liked the main characters. As for the others I loved the baddie, and the way Geoff wrote himself into his story. Dr Pea was just so evil. I also loved the brief Simon Pegg scene as it was brilliantly funny and disgusting. You can't help but love the ending too but I'll try not to give too much away. Generally it was completely superly awesomely brilliant! Sorry if this review is a bit rushed or contains too many superlatives but I've had quite a bit of popcorn watched a fantastic film and am mildly hyper. If you don't like this review, blame the popcorn.

"Wouldn't it be funny," thought Steve Pemberton, as the League sat down to pen a film script, "if our characters came after us, wanting to know why we wanted to kill them off?" Well, as it turns out, no, not really. In this misguided, post-modern set up (three words: Last Action Hero), bestial butcher Hilary Briss, predatory German exchange-teacher Herr Lipp and broken businessman Geoff Tipps step into the 'real world' to try to prevent the apocalypse of Roysten Vasey and sabotage the Gents' new project - an 18th century romp called The King's Evil. And ironically, this film-within-a-film, featuring a terrific cameo from Warner, is easily the best thing about this. The creators obviously had a blast, but many devotees will wonder why they've tampered with a winning formula.

Now I myself had previously seen a few episodes of the Leauge Of Gentleman which I found hilarious. When I brought the film I was not sure if I knew enough about the series to get it, boy was I wrong. This is one of the best comedy films I have seen ever and the clever acting of the Leauge makes the film. It has a very good and funny plot as well as using only a few characters at any one time helps because it doesn't make it too confusing which would have wrecked the film. Even If you have never seen The Leauge Of Gentleman get this film it will make you laugh and this is a film that can be watched more then once and is an excellent film to watch with your mates. It truly deserves it review a definite 10 out of 10.

Now i know a lot of people thought that this film was just a flop but i didn't.it had some great lines and acting.i did however thought the cameos were limited.the idea is great so if you are a fan of the series then its definitely for you :):):):)it brings out the more dark side of the league of gentlemens and shows they can write a horror film if they wanted to.I don't understand why people don't like this film as i found it rather enjoyable but then again I'm a fan of the series. So if you fancy a night in with a decent film don't get this until you've seen the series as you may not understand the characters as well as fans do. its a great film all along.
