I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

I am the strict follower of Turkish and world cinema. In this film characters which are conducted their roles were chosed well. Especially main character Aziz, who is a disabled person , played great his role. In scenario there are some problems about spreading events to time. For example disabled character Aziz, turning back without disabilities to his village in seven years. It can be possible but it must spread in time when he educated by idealist teacher "Muallim". My other critic will be about prediction the next step of the film. Some scenes was not surprised to me as an audience. Generally film was a superB for Turkish cinema because of photograpy of scenes, sounds, characters, they were selected and thought very well. Congratulations to Mahsun KIRMIZIGUL for successful direction.

"Aziz" Character is very realistic according to me. All the other villagers are so, except the teacher who is from the Western part of Turkey. Use of the camera is excellent with very beautiful scenes of East Anatolia. However the teacher character is a bit forced/synthetic whatever you may call it. For example he speaks with a heavy Western Turkey accent all through the movie but starts to talk with a Zaza dialect of Kurdish during his first days in the school but his Turkish never changes which is a bit odd. Costumes are hundred percent right for the 60's. To sum up I deem it as a good Turkish movie made in recent times.

Film has been made in three seasons.Actors' hotels were three our away from village.Real actors were animals. When animals were ready set was beginning.Best part we learned that from the end photo and sentences it is a real story.Story is really different.May be that's a strange situation for European view. But that was a real of Turkey.I'm also Zaza(nationality).Villages in film are Zaza.I think everything was good without teeth.Shouldn't forget friendship of animal(horse)....
