It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

Some of the movie was hard to understand at first but as you get into the film its easy to understand. Some of the Cast was good, The lady who plays Roxelina who is with Interpol poses as a stewardess and befriends Hope. Roxelina is a good woman who should have gotten a nomination for best supporting actress for the film. Nikki Deloache did a wonderful job as Hope Cassidy, her boyfriend James was a total phony balonga pretending to be in love with Hope and fighting with her because she wanted to have an adventure and he didn't want to go while getting close to her to get her information to steal her identity what a snake. The way the movie starts is confusing, and makes you want to fall asleep. I would recommend the movie to anyone who likes high pack action. The plot could have been executed better, and some of the cast never should been cast and the names of characters were terrible except for Roxelina and Hope. ZZ? Kelly? Give me a break.

A few days ago, when I watched the movie I had very low expectations in the beginning. And do not get me wrong, this movie certainly is not a timeless masterpiece. The storyline is pretty similar to its prequel but I am going to try and ignore that fact. There are some interesting plot twists in the storyline but if you are used to watching action thrillers, you might actually find them pretty predictable. The acting isn't actually all that bad, and the location of the shooting being Istanbul in Turkey, the scenes are rather interesting to watch. The direction and picture quality was mediocre at best, but the plot being well paced, makes us ignore these limitations to a certain extent. I would like to avoid giving away any sort of spoilers for those who have not yet watched the film yet but it would suffice to say that if computers aren't really your thing, you might as well avoid this film. And to come to the point of the cast, I certainly welcome the decision to add some Turkish actors in the mix. In my honest opinion, they did help to add some much needed freshness to this otherwise rather placid film. All in all, this movie might not be in the same level as the matrix films (maybe not even close) but if you watch the film having low expectations in mind, I can guarantee that you will not get bored.

accidentally, I watched this movie, it was shown at night in German TV, and I'm pretty sure, you simply watched the movie under wrong circumstances ... it seems to be the sequel of "the Net", but after watching it, I'm very sure, it wasn't planned to be ... look at the acting, the directing, the camera, the casting itself, look at it a bit more closely, and you will come to one conclusion: this was the pilot of a planned TV series, not a real sequel ... the whole plot / script shows it quite clear, they try to introduce the main character within the first minutes, including a plot - which always is a bit hard for the first episode, mostly doesn't work out very well, however, there are often problems, especially in structure, within the first episode of a new series ... seemingly planned to somewhat fill the hole "Alias" left ...I'm pretty sure, the producers followed the opinion of an test audience and simply said "no", so, the pilot, planned as 2 x 45 minute episodes, was re-edited to something like a "movie", and then sold worldwide for a good price, eg to Germany through something like a joint-venture-package, quite often taking place within other products, lets say a prime time series, plus some "I was a pilot" - movies - this time one which tried to be something like "Alias" - a series which was shown at the same TV station here in old Germany, which now showed "Net 2.0" ... I don't think this is a coincidence, it's something like a giveaway, not a bad thing, but for me its simply quite obvious, its a pilot, not really good, able covering quite much with fast cuts / re-editing (but who doesn't), so nowadays quite normal, just rejected ...

The Net 2.0 is an above average movie for its genre. It is basically the story of a woman who has her identity along with her life stolen,as if she never existed.she must then try to get it back.this movie is not a sequel to the original.in fact it has none of the characters from that movie.nevertheless,it is suspenseful, riveting and action packed.there are of course a few plot twists, some predictable, others not.the acting is more than decent, especially from Nikki Deloach(TV's North Shore) as Hope Cassidy, the main character. She is very credible as a woman who has lost everything.the supporting cast are also strong.the direction is a bit suspect at times,as the director utilizes many jump shots throughout.A jump shot is essentially a type of camera trick.this is used to make the action flashier for the audience. However,it has been done so much before that audiences are mot impressed.minor quibble aside, however,Net 2.0 is overall a well done, entertaining and fun movie.well worth your 90 minutes. 7/10
