Cute Christmas movie, yet I did catch one technical error early on. When in the grocery store shopping, the main characters meet each other for the first time, and Marilee advises Zachary not to get off brand dry cat food because in male cats, it can be bad for their prostate health... Well male cats actually don't have a prostate! She might need a few extra years of school. Other than that, this is a typical charming Hallmark Christmas movie! I love the animals - and that's what drew me towards the movie. As a Veterinary Technician and also a daughter of a retired Veterinarian, this movie was right up my ally. Just what I needed to put me in the holiday spirit. Love the romantic holiday movies, they are full of charm.

This movie shows the lighter side of love and attraction. The comedy shows through in picking the size of ice dream container to take home or picking the right cat food or Christmas tree. They both wonder when invited to an event what to wear whether it's to a food truck or class of school children. When they run together she gives him a little shove and they share a laugh at an article in the newspaper.Gentle humor is how they get comfortable with each other through the many uncertainties of romance. He comes from a broken home. She and her sister are orphaned in their teens or so, and she is out of practice with dating while she was helping raise her younger sister and finishing her own schooling. "She says "he dates models," as if she doesn't stand a chance.Kimberly and Brandon have a great rapport in what looks to be a rushed movie. I hope they can reprise these roles again. Thanks to all.

This is a typical Hallmark Christmas romance movie, but more captivating than most. Of course, you know how everything will turn out, but the process depends upon how attractive and appealing the main characters are. Both leads in this film, Brandon Routh as fireman Zachary Stone and Kimberly Sustad as veterinary student Marilee White, are A-one. They are both instantly likable (in Miss Sustad's case exceedingly lovable) and romance lovers will immediately be rooting for them and intrigued by how they will get together.OK, this may be enough, but then throw in the animal characters, and those who are pet owners or who love animals will find the two cats adorable. And the pets are not there just for their attraction, but they play essential roles in the plot. So what we have is indeed a warm and fuzzy (pun intentional) love story that is just fun to sit back and enjoy without expecting anything more than that--it is enough. My wife and I enjoyed the movie so much that we purchased a copy of the short novel by Sheila Roberts that it is based upon. The plot of the book has some major differences, but the adaptation for the screenplay was very well done and was true to the overall effect of the novel.I would love to see Kimberly Sustad featured in more Hallmark movies. She is such a talented and endearing actress, with a different kind of beauty all her own--a unique look that is far more interesting than that of the cookie-cutter Miss America types.

The movie is decent for what it is. What it's not is a Christmas movie. It's another of Hallmark's made for TV romantic comedies shoehorned into Christmas. Hallmark has a lot of these. They take place at Christmas, or there's some kind of Christmas party some time in the movie. But otherwise it's bereft of Christmas. This is one of Hallmark's cut rate Christmas specials. As a Christmas movie this is 0 star. It has nothing to do with Christmas. As a romantic comedy it's 4 stars - below average with uninteresting characters in uninteresting relationships. That averages to 2 stars.Have a merry cut rate Christmas And in case you didn't hear Oh by golly have a jolly cut rate Christmas This year
