one of my absolute favorites!
The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
View MoreThere are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
View MoreEasily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
View MoreI found a lot of things wrong with this movie. First, Julia Stiles did not reprise her role as Paige Morgan, which I thought was a very good role for her. I guess she read the script and decided against it. Second, there was no chemistry at all between Luke Mably (Edvard) and Kam Heskin (Paige). I didn't believe for one second that she was Paige and that they were in love to be married. Luke had much better chemistry with Julia than he had with Kam. It just looked very fake to me and I didn't like them together. Third, at the end of the movie, when Edvard gets Paige back, he says a whole speech to her. It can clearly be seen that he didn't remember his lines, so he's reading his lines from the cue cards near the camera. And as he's reading from it, you can tell when he's waiting for the cue cards to switch to the next line. He clearly didn't want to be in this movie and didn't act his best. It's a good storyline, but the chemistry and the acting made the movie unwatchable. I think they should've stopped at the first movie and not made another 3 after the first one.
View MoreI'm very sorry. But this movie is really bad in my eyes. It does however get points for being sweet.. As a Danish woman I can't help but notice that the Danish is just.. HORRIBLE.. The kings name would never be a Danish king and his mother and father are still alive, so I can't imagine that he has the throne just yet. (Not even our Crown Prince has it yet) A Danish king is ALWAYS either called Frederick or Christian. I had my doubt when starting the movie, but I was still shocked. I feel this is much worse than the first where there was, at least, some Danish actors who spoke it fluently. If they wanted "King Edward" to speak Danish he should be able to speak it fluently. I will not watch this movie again.. I've rarely been this disappointed at a movie within the first 10 minutes. The story is very much American, I can not see how this would happen in Denmark. Our princes are both married to girls from different countries, so that he is supposed to marry Paige, is in my mind, very believable. I think it is cute.. But being Danish.. This does not fit my culture at all.
View MoreWhy just why make a sequel with an other actress? Personally I just love Julia Stiles and how she can carry out an entire movie. Off course the first movie isn't a specific jewel, but it can entertain you for an evening. The second movie has an even worse scenario, the prince and the student need to get married, but someone will stand in the way. The question is how will this end, who will get married? Beside a bad script the acting doesn't stand out either. There are some nice and enjoyable moments in the movie which can make you smile but the ending is so far fetched (and off course very easily found) that you get left behind feeling cheated on. Part 3 and 4 I do not dare to even think about watching...
View MoreOK, i just finished watching the whole movie. let me start by saying that my love for Julia stiles has nothing to do with it. the first movie rocked. it was funny, interesting and had clever humor. Paige was just that really cool girl that we all wanted to know, who had a life of her own and hobbies of her own and did not really NEED the prince, but in the second film she is portrayed as some dumb blonde bimbo. they didn't make her as "normal" (maybe common) as in the first film, they also made her completely dependent on the prince- having no hobbies other than him. even her dream to be a doctor seemed to be pushed aside. luckily, it wasn't completely brushed under the rug, like say.. the Prince's little sister! um yeah, not mentioned once in the second movie. and WHAT is up with that ugly hairdo? it's like, they didn't just change the actress, they changed the whole person. i couldn't see an ounce of the old Paige in the second movie. how very disappointing. Anyway, i just read that they're making a 3rd movie, to which i would advise them not to. they've gone over all the things they could, taking a new and original idea (the whole college guy turning out to be a prince thing) and turned it into some cheap tween-ager Disney movie. there's nothing to be saved, they should just give up before they invest money and time in any more dumb ideas.in conclusion, i hope you understood that you should not expect anything from this movie. it does not remotely remind me of any bit of the first film.
