Very well executed
Just perfect...
The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.
View MoreGreat movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
View MoreIf you're expecting to see a typical romantic comedy when watching The Relationtrip, then you will be pleasantly surprised to find a fresh and charmingly odd take on this often worn out genre. This film strays from the typical pattern of a romantic comedy in that it speaks to both those who are in relationships and those who are not. The humor and awkwardness of the interaction between characters is easily relatable to numerous people who feel pressured into getting into relationships by those around them, when a relationship is not something that that person is ready for. The acting, writing, and directing are outstanding in The Relationtrip and show the true talent and dedication that went into making such a well thought out project. This film is weird in the absolute best way possible and appeals to such a wide audience that it is a must see for everyone. It is highly recommend that you hope on board for the surreal and uproarious journey that is The Relationtrip.
View MoreIt is not your run of the mill cheesy love story! This is an awesome romantic comedy that will leave you thinking, have you laughing and you may cry a little! The songs are fun and catchy. Everyone can totally relate to this movie at some point in their lives. I know I have in the past and present. Its a must see! Amazing cast, songs and choreography, what more can you want!! Job well done!
View MoreI got the opportunity to watch a screening of this film last night. It was quite the enjoyable and entertaining trip. Auteur, surreal and completely relatable. The acting was great, a wide range... sweet and funny. I also particularly liked the music.Wish there were more films like this. Do what you can to see this! Kudos to the filmmakers. Looking forward to what's next.
View MoreI went into this one expecting your standard, quirky indie romance: two misfits meet each other - "Why can't the world accept us?" - "I guess we'll just stay weird." - credits roll under a song by a band you've never heard of. Instead, what I got was a creative, surreal look at a relationship between two people not looking for love but finding it despite themselves. The Relationtrip is an independent romantic comedy that covers years' worth of relationship problems over the course of four days. What makes the film special is the way that it handles its characters and their respective problems. I don't want to give anything away, but the movie is filled with symbolic and metaphorical scenes and not in a pretentious way. Rather than the "ask me what it means!" imagery of a lot of indie content, The Relationtrip portrays visually what could clearly be said verbally, and it succeeds fantastically. Our main characters' deepest issues are laid out for us and for each other to see in a wonderfully creative way. This one really is unique. I had the opportunity to watch it at a film festival and recommend it to anyone who is able to see it.
