Gutsycurene

Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

I can not believe this actually is called a movie! I rented it because I love dog stories and expected an amazing story. There are enough reviews here with "spoilers' to tell you about the "story", excuse me, there is NO story. On top of that, there is no acting. Drivil. Silliness. I kept thinking, "ok, wait, something is going to develop...." Nothing. More drivil! Just the stupidest story ever to be made into a movie. If I had the energy and years left, I could write a story of my favorite cow/pet and two favorites dogs, that really were an inspirational story that profoundly intercepted my life. I give 9's and 10's to most Hallmark movies. I'm a sucker for warm and fuzzy with a point or conclusion. Here, nothing. I could also comment on a certain odor that would have been present, based on my personal experience, but chose to forego.

This is a pretty solid movie. It is not as bad as some of the reviews here said and not as good as some of the reviews here said. Although my girlfriend liked more than me. Both of us teared up.

After watching this movie I had to put my DVD player on suicide watch. I should not have been jealous that the dog died and did not have to make it to the end

A very good movie though there's inconsistencies in script and scenes, I give it an 8, the dog was left at the park to continue growling at the crowd that gathered to help the child where she was found after she wondered off, those people weren't apologized to or given any notice beyond the dog holding them back, also the dog was given very little notice after the lightening strike, the son would have been concerned for his dog as much as he was his dad, just because his dad was out cold and missed that moment it was given no thought as was the park scene which should have been thought out better rather then rushed onto film, other wise it was a great tear jerker, a month after burying the dog they should have adopted another dog, not as a replacement but an honoring of Pluto the wonder dog and share there love and home with another needing to be out of a cage at an animal shelter, such a hole and emptiness needs to be refilled helping another, one of my passed dogs told me this in a dream, "Keep your heart and home open, don't go cold and close up in pain, honor me and share that empty space with another that needs a home, your not replacing me, your honoring all we shared and sharing that with another in need, you are in need hurting because I'm gone, love another, don't dishonor me."
