Intense, gripping, stylish and poignant

There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.

Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

This is a fun movie. It explores time travel in an interesting way, making one big consistent whole. While movies like Primer have more convoluted plots, this one is simpler. It explores the events within timeline in a way that menages to reinterpret them and is an interesting conceptual work. Though somewhat predictable, it still menages to be fun and thought provoking. There are not really any plot holes except that main character acts somewhat in fear of not ruining what he knows happens, at least at first, which is somewhat dubious, but the consistency is preserved. What would happen if he tried to subvert it is not explored, but still, a solid work and an unexplored angle. Less ambitious than Predestination, and at a lower budget, but delivers similar experience if in more low key way, which is sometimes sweeter, in a way small but clever films can be.

Worth at least 7.5Very good simple time travel movie, easier to watch and understand then Primer, less intellectual. This movie hold itself better then Colossal in the script, direction, logic and acting in my opinion.Best time travel story I seen possibly.Try to see it in Spanish with subtitles.

David Cronenberg was going to remake this. I don't pretend to know what transpired then, but I imagine he stopped himself because he realized he really just wished he had made it FIRST. The concept is so simple, and the turmoil produced slides into anxiety so neatly, it's very easy to wonder why this isn't shot in black and white, starring Bela Lugosi, Peter Lorre or -- EHEM! -- Claude Rains (visual comparisons to 'The Invisible Man' notwithstanding). An instant classic. It remains my personal favorite among time travel films.

An absolutely great film! With no special effects, no explosions and none of the other over-the-top elements of Hollywood movies, this simple movie shows how you can make a compelling, gripping film with little more than story. This film is so simple, in fact, that it seems to be shot in just a handful of simple locations (a house, a forest, a road, etc.) and with only 4 actors. Even the ending is very simple, but it is one of the best endings I have seen in a movie. But don't be mistaken; this is not a simple film because it was made by amateurs or indies who didn't have a large budget. The movie is only simple because the plot is simple. That said, the plot is good and the quality of the filmmaking is good too. It's a little hard to explain this movie without spoiling it, and simply describing it as "a man is chased by a man with a bandaged face" definitely does not do justice to what this movie is about. So I must recommend this by saying that if you like horror/thriller films that are a little less mindless than your typical modern horror film, and you're OK with subtitles (or speak Spanish), then I highly recommend you check out this film.As someone who loves dark movies and movies that require a little thought to them, I am not exaggerating when I say this is one of my favourite movies.
