Clever, believable, and super fun to watch. It totally has replay value.

View More''2 Filhos De Francisco'' is a beautiful story of the famous country Brazilian singers called Zezé di Camargo & Luciano(in real life Mirosmar and Welson) two brothers who made money and success here in Brazil in the music sector. Francisco is a very poor man with a very low education and his dream is that his older sons Mirosmar and Emival become famous country singers to make money and fame, since Francisco himself has to work in the ''second hand jobs'' to bring some money to his big family(9 people counting 7 kids, his wife and himself). Emival and Mirosmar have success and talent during their career as kids(with the name of ''Camargo and Camarguinho''), but a serious car accident kills Emival. Mirosmar stops to sing since he is depressed, and only many years later, Mirosmar and Welson would become successful and famous, making their father's dream to become a reality. This movie is incredible and a great brazillian production, and even not being a fan of the ''sertanejo''/ Brazilian country bands, is impossible not to feel touched by the struggle of Mirosmar's family.I totally recommend to everyone!
View MoreI was very reluctant to see "2 Filhos de Francisco", since I hate the popular Brazilian "redneck-duo" singers "Zezé di Camargo e Luciano" and their country songs. However, my son and some friends of mine told me that it would be worthwhile to watch this movie, which was included in the selection for the nomination from Brazil to the 2006 Oscar.Yesterday I decided to forget my prejudice and I really watched a beautiful and touching story, with an awful music score for my taste, but great performances. The tough life of Zeze di Camargo and his family, and the dream of his father Francisco are wonderfully pictured in this film, and it is a true good example that we should never forget our dreams, no matter how distant or impossible they might seem to be. The expressive performance of the boy Dablio Moreira was very impressive, and Ângelo Antônio's role and performances are very powerful. I regret only the scene with the excessive merchandize of the major sponsor of this film. I really recommend this movie for those like me that are not fans of "Zezé di Camargo e Luciano", because the fans certainly will be in the nirvana with such great movie. My vote is eight.Title (Brazil): "2 Filhos de Francisco" ("2 Sons of Francisco")
View MoreThis is one of the best Brazilian's movies I've ever seen. It's touching, well done and has great performances! There were lots of actors who were on their first movie and they did an awesome job! It's a very beautiful and emotional story that shows the life of a very poor family and a father that saw success on his two son's.I can say that lots of people would cry on this movie. This production shows how Brazilian's cinema has improved through the years and has gotten better and better! The box office proves what I've said before. It has been the most watched movie in Brazil for weeks and it still brings lots of people on the theater!Breno Silveira deserves more than an award for "2 Filhos de Francisco".
View MoreThe film shows the beautiful and touching story of the famous Brazillian country music duo Zezé di Camargo and Luciano. However, it won't be interesting to non-Brazillian, since it is the same old cliché: poor boys who managed to climb over the misfortunes of life and got successful. In fact, even for Brazillians it can be rather boring: the editing is terrible. The rhythm is so slow I almost fell asleep while watching. The photography is acceptable, the best feature in this movie.Zezé di Camargo and Luciano are quite pretentious when they believe this film about their story will be nominated for an Academy Award. During the Formula 1 GP 2005 they even said that "other films have been nominated and couldn't manage to win, maybe this is Brazil's chance to win an Oscar". If "O Quatrilho", "Central Station" and "City of God" didn't make it, is it really their film who will bring us an award? If it does, I will really start to believe that the Oscar is a fraud.
