. . . that young people (i.e., anyone under age 60) should NEVER go near a computer. If they violate this guideline, horrible grisly death surely will ensue, in the most unexpected and thoroughly unavoidable manner. UNFRIENDED: THE DARK WEB painstakingly illustrates that other people with access to computers are NOT your friends. Certainly this includes ANYONE who owns, or has access to, the so-called "Smart" phone. (Youngsters should be relegated to rotary dial communication devices--if not Mr. Bell's original "candlestick" models--until at least Age 50, at which point they can graduate into a transitional decade to familiarize themselves with rudimentary cell phone "bricks" and "flip" phones.) Late model automobiles are infested with computers, of course. Their use should be severely restricted to mature Golden Agers, as well. There is absolutely no reason why those without their AARP cards cannot content themselves with Go-Karts, Dune Buggies, and retro "jalopy" kits. "Smart Home" devices, personal assistants such as Siri, TV's operated by voice commands, and so forth all may conspire to kill our kids, UNFRIENDED 2 proves. Antique stores feature plenty of television sets requiring viewers to walk up to the fixture and turn an analog dial in order to "change channels." This process has the added benefit of preventing American Youth from degenerating into the sort of soft couch potatoes featured all through THE DARK WEB.

I never saw the first Unfriended movie, and although it looked really good, I did not know what to expect out of this sequel. I didn't expect it to be good at all, and at first I thought my initial predictions were right. But after a very slow beginning, the movie picked up and got really intense...if your looking for a scary movie, this isn't for you. But if your looking for a crazy and intense movie that is pretty good and has an interesting plot, then you will thoroughly enjoy this like my gf and I did

I saw "Unfriended:Dark Web", starring Colin Woodell-The Originals_tv, Masters of Sex_tv; Stephanie Nogueras-Switched at Birth_tv, Grimm_tv; Rebecca Rittenhouse-The Mindy Project_tv, Blood & Oil_tv and Andrew Lees-The Originals_tv, The Pacific_tv. This is a sequel to the 2015 Unfriended movie but it is not really connected to it-different actors, different story line, different moral to the story. The first one was about bullying but this one is about internet security, or lack there of. It is still all done on computer screens-or laptops-which I found a little annoying. Colin finds/steals a laptop because he needs an upgrade and it was just sitting in the cafe he frequents-for several days-so he figured, why not? Stephanie is his deaf girlfriend and Rebecca & Andrew are a couple of his friends that all get together-on their laptops, of course-to play games or just talk about their lives. And, of course, the owner does want his laptop back and he takes over Colin's, threatening him and his on line friends, if he doesn't get it back. It seems that there is some important files on it. And, like the first movie, the friends start having accidents. I guess you could say that this is a horror film for millennials, in that they spend so much time on line, that hackers are their worst nightmare. I heard that there are two different endings to the movie and they are being shown randomly, so you don't know which one you will be seeing. Of course, this could be just hype, to get people to see it several times, hoping they will catch a different ending, but I don't know. I didn't care much for the first movie but the story was a little better on this one. I still didn't care for all the computer screen gimmick but people like different stuff so I'm sure that some people will like this more than I did. It's rated "R" for violence, language and sexual content-no nudity-and has a running time of 1 hour & 28 minutes. It's not one that I would buy, or rent either. I would wait until it hits cable.

While it holds the same sort of premise as the first with the whole computer screen view it is not like the first movie. The first one kind of sucked with all the super natural stuff going on in it. This one was more grounded in realism which helps it a lot and distinguishes it from the first one. Don't expect a magical experience that you'll walk away from thinking you have to see this again but you can expect to go away from it with a thought that this movie was not that bad at all. Kind of interesting and it might be worth watching a second time just to try to catch any minor small details you might have missed watching it the first time. Ir sort of creates that affirmation that the dark web is rather dark and not something to tread lightly in.So if you're looking for a movie that's not exactly horror but more thriller with some dark overtones and can spare about an hour and a half then this is the one to catch.
