Five friends welcome real life vampirism into their lives. They cut their own wrists and let their friends drink from them. Rod, the leader, and a very psychotic young guy, ends up killing Heathers parents and stealing their car to go on a crazy raod trip. This is How Movies Should Be Made

Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.

an ambitious but ultimately ineffective debut endeavor.

OK so this film is, how should I put it nicely? Um- The Biggest pile of crap ever!!!!OK so I came into this film because I had never seen Drew Fuller in anything aside from Charmed before. I was so excited for it too. Popcorn at the ready I sat with anticipation to see... nothing good!I kept thinking to myself; It'll get better, It'll get better and yet, it just never did!And what makes it worse is that they had the POTENTIAL to make it SO much better! When Drew Fullers Character started talking about everyone being a family and (something like) going down to hell/Taking over the world, they really could have just cut out the crap and skipped straight to them actually doing that.I know, I know (before anyone bites my head off) that this was based on a true story and you have to keep the storyline the same, so OK fine, they so-to-say did that. But seriously it was just terrible!MY ADVICE: If you want to see Drew Fuller, watch a Charmed episode he's in. Because this... simply put, is a waste of nearly 2 hours!

the actor who played rod was excellent. he showed the insane not caring manipulativeness that we see in people such as Charles Manson. It was amazing. Exspecially when they had been caught. I loved it. THe actors and actresses were amazing. I believe that it is one of the best vampire movies. I don't understand how you can say the actors aren't any good for Drew Fuller is amazing as rod, captures the exact aura about rod that makes him so incredibly sexy, the manipulativeness, and I don't care what you do to me. Also, the make up was pretty good as was the acting. This is a bit redundant so I apologize. Also it was a pretty good portrayal of the case.

In 1996, in Eustis, Florida, the parents of two girls are found brutally murdered at their home by the oldest daughter, Jeni Wendorf (Stacy Hogue), and the other one, Heather Ann Wendorf (Kelly Krueger), is missing. A further investigation discloses to the police that a group of Gothic deranged teenagers that worships vampires were responsible for the slaughter of the Wendorf family. The former boyfriend of Heather and also very evil and sick Roderick Justin Farrell (Drew Fuller), the leader, has killed Rick and Ruth Wendorf trying to open the gates of hell for him. "Vampire Clan" is a violent and weird drama, based on a true story, having a well developed screenplay and characters and an excellent soundtrack. The low user rating of this movie is caused by the wrong idea of the genre that the title gives to the viewer. My family and I were expecting to see a horror movie, but it is indeed a drama. Even the genre in IMDb need to be corrected. Therefore, the target viewer is not reached, and persons that expect to see a horror movie becomes frustrated. My vote is seven.Title (Brazil): "O Clã dos Vampiros" ("The Vampire Clan")

i've always been highly interested in true crime, especially cases concerning vampires and teens who kill. so before i ever knew of a film being made about rod and his crew of merry followers i had read almost everything there was to read about the case. so it was natural that i wanted the film to be as accurate as possible. so it is no surprise that i was bitterly disappointed. for one thing ROD FERRELL HAD LONG HAIR. casting drew fuller with his trendy messy short hair style was just PLAIN WRONG. if i was the casting director and i saw drew fuller come in to audition i would have been like "GET OUUUUUUUUT, ROD HAD LONG HAIR YOU STUPID LITTLE MUPPET, UNLESS YOU CAN GROW YOUR HAIR ABOUT 16 INCHES LONGER IN THE NEXT 5 SECONDS YOU'VE GOT NO CHANCE!!!!!". it actually made me angry. no disrespect to the actors in the film, but you got it all horribly wrong. all i can say that was good about it was that the girls were extremely pretty looking all Gothic. so to conclude... 3/10. it is reasonably watchable if you are a goth freak of some kind and care little about the actual case. if you know about the case then you'll be pretty bitter as was i
