Lack of good storyline.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

The 'victim' living in an expensive apartment block in a big city doesn't have drapes (curtains/blinds) in her apartment (until 30 minutes into the movie when she unsuccessfully tries to staple bedsheets over the windows) and chooses to walk around in a thong at night...give us a break! The blond bimbo boss with a heart of gold flashes her eyes at the Mick Jagger clone too often and the magazine reading security guard with the short tie and big hat is a parody of a parody. The other blond bimbo who only styles his hair when he goes outside is just TOO obvious. If you like: sideburns that don't reach the wig; armpit hair; guitar solo accompaniment to soft porn; breasts real and depicted in wall hangings/sculpture AND women with big feet and short trousers you will love this movie.

Shannen Doherty stars as Celeste, a woman who moves into a new apartment after separating from her lover. Soon after, she receives numerous threatening phone calls from an unknown stalker. Perpetually tormented by the stalker, Celeste solicits help from various sources in an effort to put an end to the harassment.Charles Powell, Michel Francoeur, and Sean Tucker co-star with Doherty and they give an excellent performance. Doherty looks great and the production values in this one are pretty good.I recommend View Of Terror--I saw it on Lifetime back in 2003, and I just saw it again tonight on Lifetime Movie Network. This is one you can watch again and again.

**** warning may contain details of the movie's plot **** I watched this typical made for TV movie hoping something was different. The plot was ordinary and very predictable. Most of the acting was weak and dry showing no character depth. Who really cared what happened to Shannon's character. The only bright side to this movie was the Canadian actor Sean Tucker. Although not given a huge roll, most of the movie displaying Shannon's sub-par acting abilities, Sean seemed to have made the most of what he was given. He played his part well dropping subtle hints of what his character was up to while not giving too much away. He played the villain well striking fear into the viewer's mind with his cold stare and deep, menacing voice. It was unfortunate that more emphasis wasn't put on Sean's character as he was the only bright spot of the movie.

i found the beggining of this film particularly moving as the performance given by shannon was excellent if anything that made up for the somewhat dubiouse story line and directing.also this film itself at times held the viewers only because of the presence of suspence and acting that took place by about 2 good actors in the whole film.
