Very well executed
Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.
View MoreWhile it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

View More1st Match: Harlem Heat vs Thunder & Lightning. After a very slow PPV start, this is pretty refreshing. there's good mat-wrestling and Harlem Heat do a good job as heels. The ending is kind of weak, which I think spoils the match a little bit. Rating: 3/5 2nd Match: The Equalizer vs Jim Steele. A watchable match, but mostly because it's short. There's some good back and forth action, and you can see they were trying to get Steele over as a fan favorite. Rating: 3/5 3rd Match: Terry Taylor vs Diamond Dallas Page. Some good technical wrestling, and it's good to see DDP in action. I don't know who Terry Taylor is, but I like him in this match. Rating: 3.5/5 4th Match: Johnny B. Badd vs Jimmy Garvin. For a match that was supposedly made on the spot, it's pretty good. I know Badd from a couple TNA matches, and Michael Hayes is always cool. And for a guy who's been retired for two years, Garvin holds his own pretty well. Rating: 3.5/5 5th Match: Lord Steven Regal vs Arn Anderson, WCW World TV Championship. So this match has a time limit, I forgot that's how matches used to go. The start of this match is so slow, it might as well be going in reverse. Thankfully, the rest of the match is really good. Great counter wrestling by both guys, and Regal having to cheat to win has people booing him out of the building. Rating: 4/5 6th Match: Cactus Jack and Maxx Payne vs The Nasty Boys, WCW World Tag Team Championships. Even though this match ends in a DQ, I think it's the best match of the night. I don't know why they chose to end it the way they did, but there are some sick spots in this. Foley (Cactus Jack) takes a nasty bump on the concrete, and both Nasty Boys get suplexed to hell. Rating: 4.5/5 7th Match: Sting, Brian Pillman, and Dustin Rhodes vs Rick Rude, Steve Austin, and Paul Orndorff, Thundercage match. Never heard of a Thundercage match before this, but given the name I thought it would be electrified. Thankfully, it's not, it's basically a Hell in the Cell match. The match is good, and the crowd's really into it, I just wish they didn't have to tag each other in. But I'm new to 90s wrestling, so maybe this is just how cage matches used to be. Rating: 4/5 8th Match: Ric Flair vs Vader, Thundercage match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship (Special Guest Referee: The Boss). That was a mouthful, but this match is really good. Flair is on fire for a majority of the match, and Bossman as the ref is an interesting touch. The interference of Harley Race was also a good way to make people hate his guts even more. Overall a good match with some good drama and Flair overcoming the odds. Rating: 4/5 Final Rating: 7 out of 10. For my very first WCW PPV, I was pretty impressed. The second half of the show is really good, and the first half is certainly watchable.
View More1. Harlem Heat Vs. Thunder & Lightning - Stevie Ray is the worst actor of th Tag Team Matches, he always wait somewhere like an idiot. 6/10 2. The Equalizer Vs. Jungle Jim Steel - Zero crowd reaction on both of guys except "Boring" chant. It's evident, that Dave Sullivan aka Equalizer wasn't voted like worst wrestler for nothing. 5/10 3. Diamond Dallas Page Vs. Terry Taylor - DDP'S single match PPV Debut. He looks like he's got 40 pounds over :) Sucker Taylor, who was all time of the match defensive, won. 6.5/10 4. Jimmy Garvin - substitute for Michael P.S. Hayes Vs. Johnny B.Badd 5.5/10 5. TV Title Championship: Arn "Goofy" Anderson Vs. Champ-Lord Steven Regal - That was boring match even on Regal, Goof isn't great co-operator. But length was satisfying and he beat that WWF Brainbuster. Good, champ. 7/10 6. WCW World Tag Team Title Match: Cactus Jack/Maxx Payne Vs. Champs-Nasty Boys - Wow, Maxx learned new moves (German, Belly to Belly Suplex) :) And there was one really devastating slam on Brian Knobs, it hurts even me! 6.5/10 7. Thundercage: Paul Orndorff/Stunning Steve Austin/Rick Rude Vs. Sting/Dustin Rhodes/Flyin' Brian - In middle of the match Dustin embarrassed himself same like his father within awful taunts... Fan favorite team won. 6.5/10 8. WCW World Heavyweight Title Thundercage Match: Vader Vs. Champ-Ric Flair - Useless Big Boss Man (referee) let himself scuffed to the cage, LOL. Finally when he get out of it, he turn on Vader and let Flair won. Idiot. Arn Anderson was great too, he came to the ring and tried to get inside by banging the cage. It is so on purpose, clever! Stupid main event. 5.5/10
