View MoreThis is an eight-minute instructional film that introduces the concept of jiu-jitsu to the modern woman, who needs protection from the 'carnival of crime' apparently sweeping the nation in the mid 1920s. It is a pretty dull eight minutes, most of which consists of slow motion footage of a woman taking down a male assailant and of self-defense expert Mme. Girard teaching her techniques to the same woman. Of interest only to those of us pursuing the vain quest of seeing every extant silent film.
