This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Your Name is one of those movies/shows where I just don't understand the ridiculous praise it gets. Yes, the concept of body swapping is interesting and well executed in the first half. But then it starts to become full of extremely vague or completely unexplained plot points that break immersion and leaves the viewer unsatisfied. It's a complete mess. The ending is also dumb and negates the entire point of the movie.

The first time I watched the film I didn't know what I was expecting, and I'm so glad that I had no expectations. From the story to the animation/cinematography, Your Name did not disappoint me for a single second of the story that unfolded in front of me. It felt that every word and character mattered in this movie, there were no puzzle pieces that didn't fit. As I was watching, I felt a connection to each character, feeling what they were feeling. Not many movies can accomplish sympathy for each character. But Makoto Shinkai (Director) was able to captivate me as a viewer and as a person. There is no reason not to watch this film, and if you haven't I strongly advise you do. It might just change your perspective.

Makoto shinkai did an amazing job animating this movie , the hand drawn animation is simply put breath taking . In addition to that , the story is very well rounded , the characters are all well depicted , enough not to leave the viewers imagination roaming . Thanks love story that occurs between the two main characters with some elements of body swap is not an original idea , but adding in some other elements ( no spoilers) makes it a hall different story . In summary your name , with it's beautiful animation , relatable characters , and heartwarming love story became my favorite movie

Two strangers find themselves linked in a bizarre way. When a connection forms, will distance be the only thing to keep them apart? Kimi no na wa (Your Name) is a 2016 Anime and as with other animes it's not different or even remotely interesting. I found it to be very slow and very monotone as with terrible pacing, the acting wasn't that good either and i couldn't relate with the actual characters both the boy and the girl. The storyline wasn't something special either, fans of anime films will probably be satisfied when they rent it or see it online but for anyone else who's not that much into it? It's probably going to look like a boring and half interesting anime drama. (0/10)
