It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

The main issue with this production is that if feels really rushed. The acting is really not great. And the jokes are really old. Feels like a poorly executed 80's sitcom.

The best part about this show are the children who had me chuckling throughout the five episodes that I have watched so far. For their first time acting, Rev and Justine did well and they have some great chemistry. I think they will get even better the second season. The show stays light and positive and deals with everyday silly drama, which is actually refreshing, but I hope they tackle some slightly deeper topics as they seasons progress. I really love the oldest girl, Veronica and I could see a spin off on her crazy life situations. She is charming and fun to watch. Overall a great family sitcom about an all American brown family, with a 90's throwback feel. I will be watching all episodes.

The show started out as good as it could have but then devolved into a caricature of the worst 70s and 80s black sitcoms. The father being out of touch was a good place to start, but Joseph Simmons who is the legendary Run of Run DMC is a terrible actor. I'll even by the prodigy daughter (if they had someone who was actually smart write the part) but the rest of it was garbage. Justine Simmons, who is the real life wife of Reverend Run, since it is "her turn" to go out and work quickly starts channelling a caricature of Jackée Harry's 227 character Sondra. Bad acting and bad writing happens but when it's the fall of one of my favorite rappers it takes on a deeper sadness.

His hands are all over the place. xD Dont mind the family but the "Rapper"/"Dad" breaks the whole show with his acting and body language.
