Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.

    An unexpected masterpiece

    Kamila Bell

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

I stopped liking this show a few years ago, there are to many cringy little kids "beating" actually talented adults, almost all of the kid singers make me want to jump off a hill. But last episode they put the cringest white little 12 year old rapper named patches through and it was too far.

The show is spot on and in touch with the majority of viewers. By keeping the format of the show open to all age groups, talent types and nationalities they are keeping alive the best traditions of the variety show format, reminds me of the hey days of Ed Sullivan, but with more heart and soul.I'd be interested in the demographics of user reviews, particularly age groups, I wonder if most negative reviews come from a younger demographic. Those who criticize too much emphasis on back stories at the expense of talent, those who don't have something tragic in their background, can't appreciate how tragic life events shape the character of the individual. Such events, which we all eventually experience, brings about the inner strength, determination and humility needed to survive the rigors of life and show business, as well as tap a well spring of talent that may have been inaccessible without such tragic events. Show business already has more divas than needed, so I find the selection of judges especially interesting as each has survived some tragic events in their lives and rediscovered or reconnect with their humanity in a positive way. I think the merging of contestant back stories with their auditions is a brilliant and clever stoke by the producers, making the show connect with people in a very real way, a fact most judges show great respect for.

The show is horrible he only thing Simon Cowell cares about is Boy Bands and how much money he rank in. The funny thing is that the show budget is $10 Million dollars and the winner gets $1 Million over forty years how is that fair. This show has down hill since Howard Sterin left the show and I now longer watch it. The network has ran out of ideas and puts this garbage on because there is no shows in the summer.

I'm writing this in late July, 2016. Judges are horrible (possible exception---Howie). Simon is awful--the girls add nothing to the show. The level of talent is exceedingly low this season----and I'm pretty sure the show's producers have done something unbelievable to try to fix it.They apparently went to some Eastern European country---and HIRED A CIRCUS. Not kidding. Half the contestants can't speak English, and appear to be from some broken down Eastern European circus---they are appearing as individual acts or couples---but I am pretty sure they were in some broken down, has-been circus---probably available pretty cheap (tough economy over there). Unfreakingbelievable! And they are BAD!Knife throwers, contortionists, high wire types---all pretty bad, probably not making much money in Moldavia or Romania. Apparently "America" doesn't have much talent. My only hope is that when they finish up and head back to Eastern Europe, they take Nick Cannon with them. He is the worst "MC" in the history of American TV---but maybe that broken down circus will have a spot for him over there!
