Perfect cast and a good story

Ally Dawson (Laura Marano) works the family music store Sonic Boom on Miami Beach. Her best friend Trish De la Rosa (Raini Rodriguez) can't hold down a job. Ally is also a shy songwriter. Austin Moon (Ross Lynch) takes one of her songs and becomes an overnight internet sensation. Dez (Calum Worthy) is his irreverent clueless friend. The four become best friends as they tackle the music world with Ally as the songwriter and Austin as the performer. It's a wacky Disney kids show. It's completely harmless. It's lovable. It's silly. The four leads are a nice, lovable lot. Laura is adorable. Ross is equally adorable. Raini brings the spice. Calum is the tall, lanky clown. It's a fun show for the kids and a safe one for their parents.

I watched this show with my younger sisters and I could not last 10 minutes. The acting is horrid, even for a Disney show. Especially the character of Austin. I don't know what is worse between the heavily auto tuned, cliché lyric-ed pop songs or the fact that the show itself has a lame, over used plot line. "A famous pretty boy teams up with a shy smart girl." The only thing I found enjoyable about this show was the little boy Nelson. Disney channel has to start coming up with better shows and i'm glad this show came to an end. It was slightly satisfying that Austin and Ally finally got together at the end after their annoying over played famous "Best friends who secretly like each other but can't get to tell the other how they feel" status. Nothing interesting happened in this show. Predictable.

Austin & Ally is not the worst show on Disney Channel, but it's the most cliché. Main character can sing, works on singing career, gets into "wacky" scenarios, somehow goes out public without getting noticed. That's Austin & Ally in a nutshell. Okay, it's cliché, but what other things are wrong with the show? I'll start with the worst part, the characters.Austin Moon is the main character, but he's a huge jerk. He stole Ally's song and never got punished for it. Even when he knew Ally had stage fright, he put her right in the spotlight anyway. He also, like everyone else, makes fun of Ally because she awkward and weird, but for some reason, that's okay! And I'm just naming what he does in the first episode. And Ally still agrees to be his songwriter. What? Why? All he's done is be a jerk to you, why would you willingly help him? Speaking of Ally, she's the.... least awful character in the series. She's pretty annoying and her social awkwardness is enough to make you cringe, but she actually does have character development that shows throughout the series and she's the only character who has it. We do get to see her become more and more confident throughout the series. She is still pretty annoying and tells unfunny jokes a lot, but at least she has some development and she isn't really rude to everyone like the other characters are. So while she isn't by any means good, she's the most bearable character. Then we have Ally's best friend Trish. Ugh, she's so lazy and rude. She also gets a new job all the time (Even though she's already Austin's manager.), but she claims to hate working. If she hates working then why doesn't she just, you know, stop working? I mean, she'd still be Austin's manager, so she would still have a job. She can quit at any time, so why doesn't she? What's the point of that? Are they trying to be funny? Is getting a job funny? That's so confusing. She also makes fun of Ally a lot. If she hates Ally so much, why are they friends? And the last is Austin's best friend Dez. He's supposed to be the funny and stupid character, but he fails miserably. This character is so overdone that every time you hear something stupid come out of their mouth it just makes you cringe instead of laugh. The morals are terrible. Stealing someone else's work is okay? Making fun of your friends is okay? Making people do things they don't want to is okay? Are they trying to make kids total jerks? The romance is also terrible. Austin and Ally have no chemistry and in the Season 3 finale, the manager of Austin's record label says Austin can't date Ally because she is working with a different label. What? He can't do that! That's his personal life, is that even legal? He also says that if Austin breaks the contract, Austin can't make music for 10 years. Once again, what? I mean, I'm no expert on how contracts work, but if the contract is broken, he doesn't have to follow it, so he's going by the rules of the contract, but if he breaks the contract, isn't the contract annulled?Edit: Okay, so apparently, if someone breaks a contract, then yeah, the company can stop them from making music. But like I said, it's his personal life. Are they really allowed to interfere? The only kinda good thing about the show is Ally's character development, but there really isn't that much development. Cliché show, bad characters, and bad romance. Switch the channel when this comes on.

Austin and Ally is a live action show on Disney Channel starring Ross Lynch (Austin Moon), Laura Marano (Ally Dawson), Raini Rodriguez (Trish De La Rosa) and Calum Worthy (Dez Wade). Surprisingly for such a c*** channel, it is shockingly amusing in every way. Until season 4, the show focuses on Team Austin which consists of the following: Austin (the singer), Ally (the songwriter but singer in season 2 onwards), Trish (the manager) and Dez (the director). I gotta say, the team is very thought out and is absolutely an amazing team. Unlike most shows, they have at least some annoying characters, this doesn't. Everybody has a different personality and is not annoying - perfect formula to a good show. Now I'm gonna tell you about Team Austin in more detail. Austin Moon the singer is a rather fun and rebellious person who sees life as a big party. Like Ross Lynch himself (the actor), Austin is very talented at singing, dancing as well as playing basketball as you will notice in a few episodes. Austin is though quite the jealous type. Ally Dawson on the other hand is a polite, rather awkward girl who is very smart and always gets A's on her exams. She is the songwriter of Austin Moon, though Austin sometimes goes against Ally's idea of the message in the song. For example, if it is a sad ballad, Austin tells her it should be a fun song. Ally works as her dad's only employee at Sonic Boom, the Miami local music store. She has stage fright until she conquers it in Chapters and Choices. Trish is a rather mean, arrogant girl who hates to work though she loves getting loads of cash and prizes. Despite this, she gets Austin loads of auditions which shows she has loyalty to her friends. Dez, the director of Team Austin on the other hand is a weird, funny, rather stupid guy. He is the "Adam Sandler" of the group. Songs such as 'Parachute' by Laura Marano and 'A Billion Hits' by Ross Lynch are amazing and share a very good message. The way that Austin and Ally LOVE each other is very cute and adorable and this is coming from a GUY. Overall, it is a perfect show for adolescents and teens who are obsessed with music.
