Gripping story with well-crafted characters
Bad Acting and worse Bad Screenplay
It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

View MoreHane Sakura always cycled to school but when one day a fellow student passed her on a motorbike she started think there might be another way to travel. She learns that students are permitted to ride motorbikes to school and that there is even a motorcycle club. It isn't long before she becomes a member and learns to ride a bike. Once she passes her tests she buys a pink Honda and starts to have fun with her new motor-biking friends who, in the interest of balance, ride bikes made by Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki. The fact that each rides a different make of bike leads to some friendly rivalry between the girls especially the Suzuki riding Rin Suzunoki and Yamaha fan Onsa Amano. Over the course of the series they go on many rides together, including a trip to the island of Hokkaido. There are many anime series about school girls involved in various activities, some more fun than others. To my mind this is one of the more fun series of this type. The characters are all a lots of fun and their interactions are entertaining to watch; we even get a 'moe Stig' in the form of club president Raimu Kawasaki! There are lots of laughs to be had along the way; some of the moments are genuinely hilarious. There is a small amount of fan service; it doesn't go too far though and is actually quite funny. The animation is impressive as are the character and background designs. Overall I heartily recommend this series; I enjoyed it far more than I expected. These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.
