Better Things Audience Reviews

Alicia I love this movie so much
Ensofter Overrated and overhyped
LouHomey From my favorite movies..
Matrixiole Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
lenny-22959 I love this programme. It would fall under comedy however it's not laugh out loud funny. It's more real life. How can u characterise your life as a comedy. Life comes under everything. That's what this comes under. It's brilliant well written.A single woman with three daughter two teenagers and one little lady. She is a struggling film/telly star/extra. Just about the day to day hussle of life.
he88 I've watched two episodes and while I was waiting for the story to become entertaining...It was over. Both times I felt ripped off. I expected more than just a hunk of a day in someone's life....I think I can understand why so many women like this. It most likely is identifiable to them in one way or other so they get into it. I'm tuning in to be entertained because the snippets used in the commercials for the show made me think it was a comedy....A few one liners around 45 minutes of just someone making it through a day or the star just looking in thought like she's thinking "How did I get here?" Is not a comedy. It's not really a drama either. It really is like a "Reality" show of someone's life. And I've never found those entertaining
esmad3-216-475224 I watched the first season and i enjoyed most of it. I haven't enjoyed the first two episodes of season 2. Pretentious and melodramatic is how I would describe them. There was always a tendency but it seems they have decided to do away with the comedy completely. There's's no story arc either so what I feel we're left with is a kind of "slice of life" drama that I don't really enjoy all that much.
jehjeh3711 NOTICE:THIS IS A SPOILER TO ONE OF THE EPISODES!I really like this show. I like how she is a real person with real problems. That being said, I have a huge issue with one of the episodes. The one where Sam is planning to take her mother to Santa Barbara. I know I will get some push back on this, however, doing what she did would be the most horrendous thing a daughter could do to her mother. I don't feel Sam would be that horrible as to have her mother in the car, packed and ready to go, then start to drive off, only to stop and say she couldn't do it. I think anybody that would do that is a horrible person and I really think it's out of character. Fine, call the trip off, or make excuses not to go, but to do it the way it was portrayed in the show, made me sick to my stomach. Sorry, that's how I feel.
