    The Worst Film Ever

    SunnyHello

    Nice effects though.

    Sexyloutak

    Absolutely the worst movie.

    Tymon Sutton

The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.

I watched season 1 because of the originality in the plot. Watched season 2 because of Spike. And watched season 3 because of Spike again and Cordelia's maturity. Honestly, Spike and the maturity of Cordelia made me indulge in this show. Sadly, I thought this show was going downhill to make money. Buffy going to college, Spike and Buffy getting into a toxic relationship, and Dawn boring me. All of those things are why I stopped watching this show. Plus, the villains got more stale after the seasons dragged on to me. And I honestly thought Spike and Angel were the best antiheroes of this show before season 4. I thought Lorne from the show Angel was a whole lot nicer than her. And Buffy has the audacity to keep slaying vampires instead of the spiritual beings who made her, a minor at the time character-wise, a slayer against her will. It's definitely not nice or respectful to make someone something against their will, especially when they are a minor who is not mature enough to make mature decisions. That doesn't mean I like Buffy after her treating people like dirt.

Oh how I hated this show even though I hadn't seen a second of it, it was about kids and starred that slasher-flick nitwit. And it was based on a movie that wasn't all that good. I literally did a Bruce Willis style jig when I heard this was ending. Then, in early '07, I gave in and watched Firefly, which I had never heard of even though I saw and liked Serenity. That broke down my resistance enough to grudgingly agree to watching the first episode of Buffy. I don't know exactly when it happened, no later than the end of S6E7, but at some point this stupid, stupid show had ended a 30 year run by M*A*S*H as my favorite TV show. It has fantastic eye candy, good FX, decent action, great bad guys, an excellent story, amazing tunes, a superb cast AND the funny still slays me even after 6 full viewings. I love Firefly but you can't be the best show ever with only half a season, that's just not enough time to build the story. With 7 seasons, Buffy had the time to build a very rich story. I love this show and I can watch it every 2 - 3 years. As a bonus, S6E7 also left me able to finally say, after almost 40 years, that I have a favorite album. Joss Whedon is a genius.

Joss whedon is, to say the very least, a genius. When this show first came out i knew it was going to be special. Sarah michelle gellar leads this all-star cast to becoming top television in the 90's/ever made. This show has everything! It makes you laugh, cry, happy and angry. The writing is so well done it really sucks you in and before you know it hours have gone by. The first 3 seasons of buffy the vampire slayer are some of the greatest television moments in history. I was not even that much into vampires until after i viewed this show. Buffy is sooooo 90's. Tongue in cheek comedy along with pop culture references. There are also enough serious moments and drama to warrant it being a masterpiece. Buffy is not just in one genre its a perfectly mixed bag of fantasy/action/comedy which in my opinion is hard to pull off but they do it well. The only downside to the entire series is season 6. I for one love darkness in my television but comparing season 6 to the other seasons it just does not belong. I put about 99% of the blame on Marti Noxon. She ruined the 6th season of buffy with her melodramatic views on the world. I assume she has gone through some terrible tragedy, which is awful. But if it was not for the terrible 6th season, maybe sarah michelle gellar and alyson hannigan would have wanted to make more seasons. Sarah and alyson are both on record saying the 6th season was their least favorite to do. Willow, in the early seasons. Is one of the greatest characters ever made in the history of television. This show is a must-watch for science- fiction fans/90's fans. Buffy has aged well since starting in 1997. Thank you Joss Whedon.

I only started to watch Buffy recently, 20 years after the first episode was aired, got to say I am very impressed. Now remember this is 2017, people are used to 1080p streaming, Blu-ray / 4K video, and HDMA sound quality, 480i, 2 channel sound and 1.33:1 screen ratio are simply not going to cut it anymore. However, in this case, despite the huge technical disadvantages, Buffy still stands out as a serious and entertaining show, one of the best of its kind. The screen-play are well written, characters well developed, dialogues are actually interesting and thought provoking, plus great acting all around. Joss Whedon is a real genius.Due to the age of the show, I don't know if they will ever release a Blu-ray set, but I can only imagine what a tremendous joy it'd be to watch it on Blu-ray (again). Buffy really sets the standard and example for today's Hollywood, if there is show you can relate to 20 years later, then you know it is not the picture quality or special effects, but the story and acting that speak to you. Comparing this to some of modern day shows, it is clear to me that technical advances don't always improve the quality of a show.
