A different way of telling a story

    Dynamixor

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

This butch Hartman revival show tells the story of Mikey and Bunsen the magical beast in the town of Muckledunk. With the town goofball Amanda on the hunt for beasts, Mikey tries to help Bunsen not get caught by Amanda to be exposed!Awesome spinoff... great plots, characters, and just overall timing really made me go fanboy over this show!! This reminded me of the Fairly Oddparents by a meer 200%. It shouldn't have been cancelled, Nickelodeon if you're reading this, bring back Bunsen is a Beast! It helps us 90's kids from crying over the shows you took down that we loved!Stop with Spongebob! Bring back Bunsen!!!!!

This show looked bad a first, but when you get into it, it is amazing. We all loved the fairly odd parents, right? Well this has the same exact charm and I hope Nickelodeon renews it for more seasons. This show has gotten little attention and I feel like it should be getting way more. With shows like these, Nick is coming out of the dark ages and getting better. Now all they have to do is remove the live action shows...

This show is extremely bland and generic. When I first heard this was made by Butch Hartman, I was pretty shocked to hear that the guy who made The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom, managed to make such a forgettable, one-dimensional show, featuring a concept that's been done hundreds of times before. The animation is lazy, even for Flash. The characters have no personality and they all fall into stereotypes, that we've seen many times before. Unlike with FOP and DP, we get no introduction to the show, and no explanation as to how Bunsen came to be and how he entered the life of Mikey. The first episode just starts, with them already being friends, expecting the audience to just accept the fact that a boy is friends with a monster. The main villain, Amanda, is very dull and her main goal is to get rid of Bunsen. Her motive to do this is unclear and apparently non-existent. Every character plays the role of someone like the villain, comic relief, best friend, love interest, etc. but none of them do anything new with it. Every episode is just as bland as the characters, lacking any intriguing stories or funny jokes.I find it amazing that such a bland show came from such an amazing writer. At least most of the time, when good writers go bad, you can tell they're at least trying to do something new. This time, it seemed like he just came up with the idea off the top of his head and produced the overall, idea for the series in a couple minutes. Bunsen is a Beast is a very mediocre and unfunny show and if you gave it a chance, you'd find yourself bored to death, halfway through the first episode.

The animation is pretty bad flash compared to other shows like My Little Pony and Star Vs the Forces of Evil. The Voice Acting is not the best. I don't blame the actors since they're pretty good names like Jeff Bennett and Kari Wahlgren. It's a shame that every voice in the show is incredibly annoying to listen to.The Stories have really poor flow. Just point A to B with no character development. Just seems like they're trying to tell jokes but they fall flat. The humor style is Hartman's but not at his peak. None of the jokes work and with all the voices being annoying it makes them missing stick out more. The characters are pretty bland and with no proper introduction. Shows like Littlest Pet Shop and most other shows introduce the characters in some way via song or something. Give us a reason to care.
