If you are watching this how you would think tsunamis, fire ants, wild boars, menacing centipedes and aggressive wildlife are all daily concerns and that people walk around scared of the next attack. What a crock. Plus you'd think the narrator would learn how to pronounce at least SOME of the town names correctly!!!!!!HELP!!!!! I am being attacked by 30 foot centipede!!!!

Tonight is the first time I have seen this show. I live in Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii. This show is so full of exaggerations, mistruths, mispronunciation of places, and negative comments. If the goal was to keep people from moving here I would say the show has succeeded. Yes, some of the comments were true but not to the extent the announcer saying them over and over. I am a Red Cross disaster volunteer and we do not have or exaggerate the tsunamis, hurricanes, flooding or storms the way I heard tonight. Please do not do this to our beautiful home. Aloha.

I am so surprised this slapped-together show made it to air in the condition it's in. Another reviewer has pointed out the mispronunciations and the weird "facts" Realtors tell prospective clients. I am also put off by some of the properties shown. The homes built in the middle of lava floes...I don't know...it just seems wrong and disrespectful. I'd make sure to consult a kahuna before buying one. And some of the other homes are creepy, half-finished, creepy...some of the people are also strange. The couple who spent years illegally living in a tent on the island probably thought the house with the outdoor toilet and stinky cesspool flowing underneath it was a real upgrade from a tent, but it left me feeling yucky. It's as though they've looked for the worst of the worst properties to stop the haole from Buying Hawaii!

Sadly, the production of this program series was not seriously researched properly. My concerns; 1) The narrator often mispronounced the correct pronunciation of many words in the Hawaiian language. In other countries, this insult would have your balls forcibly removed. 2) practically all of the "Realtors" used, did not have accurate knowledge of local lore, let alone accurate facts when questioned by the clients looking for their new homes. In fact several of the so called expert Realtors, made up total fabrications because they did not know any of the real facts. 3) Many of the images used to fill in gaps were completely out of context, such as location stills of one island mixed in with other island communities. How I know this is because I was born on Oahu, and lived there with relatives on all the islands for 30+ years.Just like the rebooted version of Hawaii 5 0, there are lots of inaccuracies and total fabrications (I have played an extra or two, in the original Hawaii Five O series, when I was a wee keiki). But if you are a hillbilly, that really does not care about accuracy, this is still entertaining.
