In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

Just have to say i was so hooked on this tv show until season 7 started, idk what happened with directors and writers and w/e but this in really unwatchable, thank you for puting that fat kid in this tv show and ruining it so hard, this is embarising, i was watching like 1 season a day, but now i can't stand to watch this, shoulda ended this show after season 6, this is my first review and i know it's bad but i am rly mad right now.

I already watched Californication like 3-4 times and I will do it so. If you haven't seen it yet, start it right now! You will laugh a lot, you will feel emotions and you'll be addicted for sure. Great actors, awesome storyline, nice pictures. Must watch!

Just finished a binge watching the series and had a hard time putting it down. The title Californication is probably somewhat misleading. Simply put, the show is about the life of Hank Moody. A aging and charming boyish writer deeply in love with the mother of his child who just can't seem to avoid the trappings of life in the fast lane once his novel becomes a movie. Bouncing around from gig to gig with his best friend turned agent they discover a never ending ride of debauchery that keeps him at arm's length form that which he holds most dear. A never ending ride of drugs, booze and sexual encounters ensue as things spiral out of control.It wasn't what I was expecting but you do fall in love with the characters and oddly keep rooting for Hank to pull it out of the gutter. My only disappointment was the last season (7th) which seemed unnecessary and somewhat rushed. If you can resist, I recommend stopping at the end of Season 6 though I know that will be hard given the ending. You won't really miss much.

It has been great watching it back to back on Net-flicks the show and cast have grown into there parts very well. Lots of laughs and T&A of course. Wish there was another season to watch, I only have four shows left nice to see Heather Graham working well with the Lead. Recommended a good watch. Some of the relations this man has with woman are hilarious and as for the friendship between him and Charlie, some of the flow between them has almost made me cry laughing. His Daughter plays a great part too, you watch her grow and see him for what he really is. His X, well she is fantastic of course but I cant wait to see if they end up back together or not?
