Very well executed
At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
View MoreThis movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
View MoreA film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
View MoreOne extra thumbs up for Max's voice actor, its so well done.
View MoreCounterfiet Cat is a very sophisticated cartoon, and just screams different then all the other cartoons currently airing on Teletoon and Disney XD.It's defiantly a cartoon i would rate very similar to a show like Invader Zim as both are about creatures who inhabit earth and live an average suburban life there. Except, I'm not a big invader Zim fan, but Counterfeit Cat is something I really enjoy. The show has a wide variety of very interesting and likable characters, Gark being my favourite. Gark is just a ball of enthusiastic and positive energy, while Max is a bit selfish at times, is greatly voiced and has a good heart. Betty is also a very interesting character. She's supposed to be your average sweet-loving Granny, but when in hindsight, She's insane! She has dreams about being a secret agent and has stunt weekends and hangs out with her "homies'.The animation is very beautiful and colourful to look at. It looks like Pig Goat Banana Cricket, but we all know how hideous that cartoon is. They also add a lot of effort into the animation, like the way Gark blinks. The humour and lines are also very funny and dark. The plots are very crazy, but are also kind of dark. Like one episode I remember watching is how Max's other housecat brother died and came back to life again...and kept dying! Overall, Counterfeit Cat is a masterpiece, and deserves more attention. 10/10 for me, and I hope it gets re-newed for another season. I mean, lets hope Teletoon can green light more shows that are great...instead of bad shows like Atomic Puppet and Winston StienBurger and sir dudley ding dong,..
