n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

I don't get it, how can a stupid show like this got so popular? When I say stupid, I mean the plot simply doesn't make sense, it is insult on human intelligence. For example, one of the first episodes in S1, a robbery suspect returned to the crime scene for no reason (not for money, not for drug, simply show up when the cops are around), and shot dead a young female detective when he was there (who is the only young decent looking girl on the show). Then the same robbery (now murder) suspect then made no attempt to hide, on the contrary, he happily answered the phone when another detective paged him (correct, in those days there were still pagers around), and bluntly told the detective his hotel address over the phone, of course the next thing cops swamped the hotel and the guy got arrested. I mean, WTF. In the same episode, when the detectives were having a discussion about the case in the morgue, you can see that the dead body laying on the table was clearly breathing ... don't the show runners watch & make sure stupid stuff like this go away? I simply don't get it.

William Petersen left the show and soon after Gary Dourdan's character of Warrick Brown was murdered by the corrupt Las Vegas sheriff. Both of these were season ending shows I believe. Nevertheless, I still continued tuning in for the next season as did many other fans of the show.Then in even later seasons more cast members began leaving the show and were replaced by mostly unknown actors. When the first season starring Ted Danson in the role of chief of the division I laughed out loud. I loved him in "CHEERS" and in "BECKER" where, in both of those long-running series, he played the lead character for laughs. He is a funny man and that is where he should have stayed. His starring role in the later seasons of CSI made me look for something else to watch whenever it came on.Soon after he took over the role they let Marg Helgenberger out of her contract and leave to star in her own series about an FBI agent which was quickly deemed a ratings disaster and was canceled.As to the overall content of the series my chief complaint is that through its entire run it was both too dark and far too graphic. No opportunity was lost to display blood and guts, generally at the expense of character development and the plot of the episode. Why people view the display of (fake) blood, guts, and ripped apart (fake) bodies lying on the (usually blood covered) dirty or wet ground as entertainment befuddles me.I was in the early years very surprised at the commercial successes of both CSI and CSI:Miami, and soon after began to watch the spin off called CSI:N.Y. I liked the two lead actors in that on from their past series work and watched the entire first season. As they renewed it season after season only because the network had nothing better to offer. In later seasons of each of the spin offs I saw they all were struggling to find episode plots that hadn't already been covered completely by the other franchises. That should be blamed on the writers entirely.

Great acting, great research, great writing, great photography. The series bear watching over and over again. I can't think of a better crime drama.It is however a tiny bit formulaic from time to time. SO on a light- hearted note I thought I'd distill the formula as much as possible.spoiler:a) Either boys playing around, or lovers having hot sex (with essential undies inexplicably still on) chance upon, become, or walk by a disembodied head/skeleton b) Grissom is suddenly there, quoting Confucius at the puzzled CSIs. David is taking the liver temperature (unless it's a disembodied head or skeleton)c) Sara picks up a cigarette, then gives an explanation for any thick viewers out there "This was not a hit and run!"d) Grissom says "evidently he didn't run enough", or some other wise- crack, and ... e) TITLES: "Who are you do do do do". Never get tired of 'em f) on the other side of town, Catherine's progress towards a crime scene is impeded by a dumb male jobsworth. Because she's smart and has the facts at her fingertips she sets him straight, squashes his ego in fact. Squish g) she strolls haughtily in on a crime scene and points a torch at a racing track, nods sagely and says "Testosterone!" as if that explained everythingh) meanwhile back at the lab, Grissom and Doc Robbins are having a chat over a dead body, usually one showing signs of "petechial haemorraging". Their conversation is useless to them, but might be useful for anyone who happened to be watching who hadn't yet drawn the 'correct' moral conclusions about the scenario, i) Nick and Warrick make an unspecified and probably inappropriate bet about the new hot chick in DNA lab, j) cut to the Cool Science Scene. A CSI does a week-long experiment in 2 minutes, accompanied by booming Radiohead/Sigur Ros/etck) Greg eloquently (for a nerd) explains how many jobs HE did in that 2 minutes, l) Grissom and Sara flirt in much the same tone of voice as nerds call out blindfold chess moves to each other. Same facial expression too.m) they close in on the killer who is Not Who You Thought It Was. Brass' wisecracks at this stage provide 50% of the show's pleasure n) Catherine's killer turns out to be either a 12 yr old girl who smiles back uncaringly, or a mother who has just killed her daughter. Catherine, whose daughter is the same age, looks disillusioned and world-weary. o) Nick solves the main case for the 100th time. Grissom explains to him that he's not quite good enough yetp) more "The Who". Warm feeling inside, tempted to watch another...

when you added Ted Danson and Elizibeth Shue to the show,i don't watch it anymore.it stinks.messed up my Wednesday night.don't know much more too say.why any one would add a comedian in a mystery show is about dumb.you must have fired the better writers.i am not all that smart,but when a show is popular,why change the people that made the show so well liked.i change channels when its on.Danson is so dry and boring,he just doesn't fit the part.Shue's person comes off as a smart ass know it all.she couldn't be on anything that i would watch.Ted needs to go back to tending bar.with the characters you have now,you may as well turn it into a comedy show.if you people were smart,you would put the show back the way it was and quit messing it up.i just don't like it at all.
