Absolutely Fantastic

A brilliant film that helped define a genre

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

This isn't something you'd experience, in fact, this isn't a usual anime. This is something else, a heartfelt, deeply emotional anime. I'm lonely in real life, this anime had my back in my lonely time, I'm grateful for everyone who worked on this masterpiece. Everything is 10/10. Please, don't ever miss this.

Starting the year of 2016 strong was this gem called Erased or in Japanese Boku dake Ga Inai Machi,this anme is about our main character Satoru which in the first episode is a striggling manag artist with something from the past holding him back but also some kind of power within him called "Revival". The first episode ends with a profacative shot overlooking the shock of satoru as he is sent back in time to stop a triple murder case of 3 kids in his hometown, the first 10 episodes is absolutely riveting with great pacing amazing writing and a awesome opening called RE;RE. In the final episode though when the killer comes back it is sort of predictable what happens, the killer is s jailed but it is a great ending, recommend this anime a lot.

I was gonna give this a 6/10. But made it a 7/10.Now, what can I say about this? Well, the beginning was intriguing and great. I knew there was good potential for this to be the greatest winter anime of 2016! I was hooked and binge watched all the episodes that were released! (I didn't watch when it released, only when there were 5 episodes available at the time and I loved it.) And barely any show can do that to me! I'm working on my own thing currently and I made time for this show. There were so many things going great! Until episode 10 came along. Not gonna spoil anything, but if you were to watch it? And yeah, you should. But personally? No. The ship didn't sink, but no doubt it was damaged. (A methapor to saying it had a good start until that episode, just to clarify that. And might mean something else too now that I think about it. But a ship that totally sunk. Now that's a spoiler.) Anyway, I thought they were gonna do something around episode 11 and it didn't happen the way I wanted. But granted, episode 11 was intriguing and it seemed like the first episode? Dunno. It strangely made me feel like there was more to go on is what I'm trying to say, but we are nearing the end and I know it won't be good since I have the feeling that it could've been longer and done better.So, episode 12 happens and there you have it. Now, some might not like what happened from then on. (Just like me.) But I gotta say? It wasn't that bad. You may feel mixed around episode 10 or maybe 9 for that matter, but I suggest you should watch it if there isn't anything good on and you haven't watched it.Regarding the ending too. (This is for those who watched the show.) Some of you that may have not liked it. But it sort of adds realism. This isn't a fairy tale or fantasy even though it has elements. This show was going for that realism and sadly they failed in my opinion. And you might agree too. But I would love to see that more and rightfully done in future stories. May it be in a book/TV show/movie or whatever.

Animated TV Series at it's finest with perfect flow of narrative and storytelling.I have to say i have never been engaged to animated nor anime series ever like this one masterpiece here, i couldn't stop watching in one set. All the characters are well developed and all the moments are necessary to understand the plot and narration.Perfect storytelling, better than my previous favorite time travel anime : Steins;GateYou have to see it to understand, i can't spoil it for you. I have laughed, almost cried, shocked, appalled and disgusted many times through the 12 episodes. Everything you want from the perfect story telling, sci-fi, characters and much more. Watch it now!
