If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
View MoreI think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
View MoreExcellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
View MoreStrong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
View MoreIt's a sitcom that used to be broadcast in my country Vietnam and i remembered watching it when i was 10 and now it's still my favorite show. It's a kids show anyway so why bother? It's fun and exciting and enjoyable. Nothing bad with it really! May seem silly but very funny. I'm re watching it and still feel the same way as years ago. Absolute joy !
View MoreI was bored one rainy Saturday, my friends were out, I had nothing to do, so I switched on Nickelodeon hoping something like Fairly Odd Parents or Spongebob was on. Instead, I had this crap thrown out at me.The acting is poor, the script unfunny, and it was all very predictable. It is all British actors, but you don't get that sort of house in Britain! I have never seen a house like that in Britain, and it looks like it was Americans making this crap.It has all been done before, and I can't believe that people actually like this. Kids will like this, but they will regret watching it in later life.My advice: Make sure you stay well away from this shi t
View MoreI think this is a charming show. I work in a junior school and many of the children are talking about it so I watched it! It is innocent fun, the girls are pretty, the genie is very appealing and Dad and Uncle Max are always good natured, even when trying to be cross!! The story-lines seem to cover a lot of childhood wishes, to be a dancer or a singer, to play tricks on their teachers, have pets that talk, to be fashion icons or simply to believe in magic. Children need this kind of 'fantasy' fun and I can quite see why so many of them are becoming fans. Obviously it is NOT aimed at adults or critics or whatever, but for goodness sake if you don't like it - watch the news! Let the kids BE kids and enjoy a bit of innocent make-believe fun.
View MoreThe programme itself is a little odd but will be greatly enjoyed by under 12s. Considering the basis it has been put together special effects are not bad and the scripts are done simply enough to carry this off, particularly considering the audience it is designed for.The episode with "Rascal" was quite funny and is a good example of the entire series.Aside from this Katie Sheridan (Sophie Norton) is absolutely lovely and sparkles on screen. I imagine she will have many dads glued to the TV and I hope to see a lot more of her on other programmes (TV Companies take note).
