As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
View MoreIt is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review
View MoreA great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
View MoreThe plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
View MoreI spent a whole week watching all five seasons and thought it was pretty good until the end of season five. I thought they rushed the show so it left many unanswered questions.I also did not like some of the twists they added. I did like seeing popular actors from time to time, I also like seeing the ghosts get their issues resolved.
View Morei like how there is romance and history and antiques but also a moralistic aspect to the show, and a message of life after death, good triumphing over evil and overall compassion. I also like the clothes that Jennifer wears throughout..gorgeous lacy long cardigans, low-cut but not too slinky blouses. She maintains a sense of calm composure, serenity and spirituality the whole time. The series really makes you think about deep psychological, family and spiritual issues and to not be ashamed to talk about them and bring them out to the forefront. I purchased the season one at a half-price bookstore not knowing if I would like the show or not but I really did enjoy it. I like psychic stuff and this fit the bill!
View MoreI've spent the last three weeks watching every episode from start to finish due to now having access to Love Film with the entire series on it and having missed quite a few due to working or other responsibilities. I knew that this was canceled after filming for season five had finished so there was no chance to record a proper ending. But seriously?? It's a great ending to season five but surely they should have allowed a final season six to give viewers a sense of closure! According to what I've read, it was canceled due to a drop in numbers of watchers....so what does that mean for those that were still watching. A tad unfair I feel to those still watching with bated breathe! I really feel the station still has a chance of redemption if they'll only allow a last season to be recorded. (If the cast are happy to do it of course)I loved every episode and couldn't possibly name a favorite. It's missed in my house hold.Well done to all involved in the recording of each and every episode :)
View MoreI started watching this because despite a general dislike of Jennifer Love Hewitt, I'm a sucker for ghost stories. And at first, again despite Jennifer's character, that was fun enough. Most of the characters were likable. Then came the really fun part, they started removing the perks of watching the show. First, her best friend dies who provided such a light hearted much needed comedic relief. Then she was replaced with a character almost as annoying as Melinda Gordon (Jennifer). They brought in other likable characters to help lighten the mood but apparently there's only so much they can do with a show like this before they turn to a "jumping the shark" moment. Melinda's husband dies and refuses to move on, hops into another body, which starts the most boring lackluster attempt at reviving his soul's memories... well, let's just say there was a lot of eye rolling and yawning during Melinda's and Jim's scenes. The only reason I continue to watch what I have recorded is because I like the ghost stories and Jamie Kennedy. Oh, and I don't know what the obsession is with close ups of Jennifer tearing up but every single episode, we have to see her tearing up as she's moving someone on or having a Jim breakdown. Enough, we get it's sad and touching but it would be ever so much more if it weren't being choked down our throats by a mediocre actress. Gag. Anyways, if you can muscle your way past Jennifer's acting, the stories save for the Jim's death aspect have been pretty entertaining.
