The best show I have ever seen. Ok, if you dont like violence, subtitles or real life in its harshest form, then look elsewhere. If you want to imagine how brutal the real mafia is, then look no further. Absolutely brilliant, superb, amazing, spectacular, thoughtful, incredible, the best box set ever made bar none. And yes tha includes sopranos and breaking bad. Which i loved too.

Characters, acting, production and writing are sublime.If there's anything better been shown on any screen in the past few years, I've not seen it.

This is the first time I've written a review on IMDB but I just had to tell the world how amazing this show is. If you have even a passing interest in crime drama, the Mafia or just good quality television and you are not squeamish, then you owe to yourself to watch this show. I have watched all of season 1 and 2 and every episode has been outstanding. It has everything..... An amazing story, full of twists and turns. A very realistic and incredibly gritty setting, nothing like the American gangster films or TV shows. Outstanding acting from every cast member, you will grow to love, hate and mourn. Beautiful camera work and cinematography. It reminds of me of The Wire, in it's realistic depiction of drug dealing at the street level. Like The Wire, it is not for the faint hearted. The violence is brutal and realistic but that is the nature of the beast. If you do decide to watch it, please watch it in this original Italian, the performances are too good to be spoilt by watching a dubbed version.A big thank you to everyone involved in the making of this series. Amazing work.

I watched this show with English subs. The plot was really interesting. The acting was great. The show kept me very interested the entire time and I would binge watch an entire season in one night. Some of the dialogue at a few times felt slightly cliche, only slightly though and it did not happen enough to take away from the show. There were a few times where some of the characters would look at each other with this strange look, almost imposingly and a very intent and serious stare which i found to be strange. Some of this though could be Italians have a different culture so they speak differently and have different mannerisms than Americans. Overall a really good show and I would recommend it to anyone who likes shows like the sopranos, the wire, etc. 8/10 stars
