Truly Dreadful Film
One of my all time favorites.
It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

View MoreThe execution is always the same: somebody does a "good deed" and the angel proves he's a heavenly emissary by snapping his fingers and freezing everybody in motion. The deed is often so simple (e.g., giving up the last appetizer so someone else could eat) that it's less of a morality play, but more of a satire. Reiner as the angel grants the wish but not before the hapless recipient ends up in a series of uncontrollable situations. In the end, he or she gets what she wishes for, in an unexpected form. Light fare, entertaining without moralizing, but not exactly a great actor's venue.
