Very well executed
A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
View MoreThe story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

View MoreGoofy was always my favourite Walt Disney Studios character, in all of the old short comic movies they did and even today with the various movie projects and TV shows that they have put Goofy in, the best they have done animation wise were those old short movies they did with Goofy and Mickey. He is the ultimate not very intelligent character with a heart of gold who always gets into huge trouble and should be killed or horrible injured after his escapades but obviously it's a cartoon for kids so he comes out of it all right every time.Goof Troop was a fantastic show that I loved and I hope it comes out again in some form.
View MoreIt seems that at the very moment Scooby-Doo hit the TV screens, a lot of ugly depressing trends were all set to go. Amongst them, the fact that every successful show and / or character always had to have a "parent-and-kid" sequel. Let's see: there's "Poopy-Poo and Crappy-Poo", "Captain Lameman and Son" (but no Teen Angels...), Popeye and Son (a prime example of cartoon blasphemy), and probably a lot more I haven't heard of...... and Goof Troop. What's wrong with this show ? Jesus ! Where do I start ?The art ? Perhaps one of the ugliest kinds of animation I have ever seen. The characters have no clear poses or facial expressions, and the frame rate is very awkward. The backgrounds have really crappy colors too. And way too much pink, purple, blue and orange. Ew ! The voices ? Aaaaarrrrrrrgggggghhhhh !!! They just make my ears bleed. Sometimes you can't even understand what the characters are saying ! The stories ? What stories ? The dialogue ? If you want to hear all the flaws of cartoon-scriptwriting summed in every single episode (lame puns, inappropriate lines for most of the characters), this show is for you. The musical scores ? They sound even worse than the worst musical scores for "Animaniacs" or any post-"Flintstones" Hanna-Barbera show. The sound effects and sound design ? Again, blame it on Scooby-Doo. And last but not least : the staging ? There's no staging at all in here ! All the scenes seem to drag along, and you can feel that they stretched them a lot so they could make every episode last 20 minutes.I think I don't need to say anything else about it. It's really god-awful.PS. If, however, you do really want to take a peek, you can watch the following episodes : "Everything's Coming Up Goofy", "Pete's Day At The Races", "Wrecks, Lies and Videotape", "Incredible Bulk", and "Date With Destiny". These ones are still watchable. Also, you can always listen to the french dub. I have to say, the voices are excellent in this one, for a change.
View MoreGreat show. I loved it as a kid. I also liked that later the movie "A Goofy movie" continued the life of goofy and Max with Max as a teenage high school student. Then "An extremely Goofy movie" takes us to college with Max and Goofy. It was fun growing up with Max because we were the same age at the same time. I know someone earlier said this show is a spin off of the movie. That is not correct. The show came first in 1992 and the movie came in 1995. In the show Max is 11 and is always trying to help Goofy do things that usually end up in a crazy adventure. they live next-door to Pete and his family. Pete is always trying to out do Goofy and thinks he is smarter than him. Pete has two children, PJ and Pistol who are always playing with Max. PJ is Max's best friend and they are always being followed around by PJ's little sister. I loved this show and can remember watching it every day after school.
View MoreIf any TV Series deserves to be on DVD, then "Goof Troop" certainly does! It was done so well! So comical, witty, and action made ever, it is one of the best Disney Animated Series's ever! It is so classic and such a gas that it deserves to be. I certainly hope it does come out on DVD sooner or later. Every Cartoon-Series admirer favors this over most of the other Disney ones. Especially I do. I favor it over any other animated series you can name. I love this series, because it has a lot of slapstick and witty-joke comedy, and I love the color and sound quality of it, too. Some things that happen in it are pretty illogical, though. Like, a little bit too cartoon-like for a great animated series. Like, the way people in it sometimes run, scurry, and bang around, how fast they mantle and dismantle things, how fast they sometimes speed around corners or around roads in just a flash, and how the weather acts. Like, in one episode, it starts to rain and flood really fast. Plus, another thing is that in one episode, a couple of characters walk around with their eyes plumb shut, just after having a sleepless night, and still know where they're going without them needing to crack their eyes opened any. Many things that the characters have done in this series could have all been done just a little bit more logically. but I do love how they made all the nature in it, and drew all the characters. I love how the challenging ways all the adults treat each other are in the story. That is, Pete, Peg, and Goofy. For example, Pete is most of the time a slime-ball (mostly towards Goofy, though), and that's one reason I like him so much (for entertainment, everybody loves slime-balls up to some point). I also love Peg, because she is such a real ditz, and is very dominant, and sentimental, which I love the most about her; and even though I don't favor Goofy as high as I do Pete and Peg, Goofy is most of the time a goof-ball, mainly a kook; whom for that sake Pete always has a gas picking on and mocking, in most of the episodes. I think they all make a great pair for an animated TV Series comedy. Including all of their kids who always have to put up with most of it all the time. I am a real Goof Troop fan. I get a real kick out of it. And out of all the characters in it, I am mainly a Pete and Peg fan. What would the series be without them? They make the series even a lot more fun than just Goofy would have. I'm sure glad that it has all the cast that it does. I wonder why Peg and Pistol never existed or made any appearance in both of the Goofy Movies, such as Goofy Movie, A (1995), and Extremely Goofy Movie, An (2000). Other than just Goofy, Max, Pete, and PJ (who all were in the Goofy movies), also Peg and Pistol were such a great part of this story, too. Why eliminate them in the movies? They fitted right in with the others.
