Very Cool!!!
Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.
It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.

View MoreBoy,lieutenant Joe Kenda,is this guy cool or what?! He's like Sherlock Holmes,Joe Colombo,John Shaft and Kojak all rolled into one.I pity whoever had to fill Joe,s place when he retired. Great show love how he reels in his fish then clobbers them over the head, lol. You can really feel the kick he gets fighting the corner of victims and their families regardless of race, religion, creed, colour, gender etc.Maybe law enforcement should consider, as part of police training, a new course called "The Joe Kenda Diplomacy and attitude course". I'm sure it would save us here in the UK having to witness abhorrent videos like the Rodney king video for example. It didn't surprise me to read that Joe refused to have his dialogue scripted stating that he "was a cop not an actor". I should imagine his team of detectives had the utmost respect for him as a leader as he comes across as the epitome of integrity,t tough as old boots with a sense of humour as dry as the Mojave desert. Fan for life .Go Joe coool..ombo!
View MoreWhat I like so much about this show is the depth of Joe Kenda's thoughtfulness. This show is far above the typical sensational crime stories and delves into deep human issues and social and personal interactions. I also appreciate how much he explains about his approaches to homicide investigation. He gives a sort of deeper understanding into tragic events (thus the word play on his name "Zenda.") To me he makes me think of a Zen teacher with his insights. "The Art of Homicide Investigation" is a play off of the title of Robert Pirsig's classic book "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance." Another plus is also how he has a sense of humor and can be ironic. I really like the show. I personally don't watch crime shows that are like soap operas or just horror stories or kinds.I don't usually Investigation Discovery kinds show shows which don't seem to have the depth was this one "Homicide Hunter: Lt/ Kendal" is definitely on a top notch show for me.
View MoreI came across this show completely by mistake one night, and became my #1 Crime Show! The almost dry humor quotes from Joe: My my my, I like crazy and much more is what caught my attention to this show Homicide Hunter.Ambition and curiosity molded this 70's College Graduates after starting with the CSPD as Lt Joe Kenda. Taking several years he quickly rose in the Homicide Department. The candor of Lt Joe Kenda who's work for over 20+ years solving over 400+ cases reminds us when a life is taken they will never be back. Fighting the network, he did not want a show you read the words of the show's writers. Unscripted and in his own words, you get the real now retired "Joe Kenda".
View MoreThis is not a bad show. I've been watching it, sporadically, for a couple of years, but the narrations by Joe Kenda make that a real chore; hence the one star. I have police officer friends, and we all agree that Kenda is so full of himself that he's little more than a joke. I suspect that this TV show has gone to his head, as I cannot imagine that any of his colleagues would have worked with him, giving him full cooperation, if he was such an ass when he was on the force. Please, flush Kenda and his self serving narratives. I'd love to be able to watch without constantly switching back-and-forth to another channel every time Kenda comes on.
