The anime is the story of a boy named Gone Freecs who join the hunters association to find out more about his long lost dad who was supposedly dead. He takes the hunters exam and starts an amazing friendship with Killua . The story goes on with their adventures and friendship. Gon finally meets his dad and he sets him on a new adventure where the anime ends. It's fun packed and thrilling with lots of action comedy and drama. I will always recommend watching this to Anubisa who enjoys anime.

When I was younger I used to be really into anime. The amount of anime I have watched totals to about 50, and I can honestly say Hunter x Hunter is one of around five anime I do not regret watching at least a little, the others being JJBA, One Punch Man, NGE, and Soul eater. I carry a lot of regret for other titles I've watched, but hxh holds as one of the best shows I've ever watched.Characters: The characters alone merit this show deserving a 10. Every single character is deep, dynamic, and interesting. The main characters, Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio are all unique and contribute greatly to both the narrative and intrigue of the show. Every villain receives development most shows rob villains of. Every character feels like a real person, with real emotions and reasons for the decisions they make. I can hardly think of another show that does characters as well as hxh.World: Frankly, I can only think of two pieces of media that have EVER done world building as well as hxh. Those are Homestuck and Avatar: The Last Airbender. hxh can't really be trumped when it comes to world building. The magical beasts, crime-ridden cities, deep network of influential and ominous criminals, unexplored lands, heroic hunters, and fiercely powerful beings all blend seamlessly into a world that I can hardly help but think extensively about every once in a while when I'm bored or my mind wanders.Plot: Like most longer anime, hxh follows story arcs that tend to be rather distinct from each other. The direction in the beginning very clearly follows Gon's desire to find his dad. As any good anime should do, hxh has reason for, and connection between, each arc. Each of the main characters has their own distinct goals, and it would spoil part of the show to elaborate beyond that, but the goals of each character culminate brilliantly to advance the plot of the series.Overall, hxh is deserving of a 10 in every single area. In my own opinion, it's the best anime I have seen to date, as well as one of the best shows I have ever seen. Watch hxh to be exposed to a beautiful and rich new world, with deep characters that leave a lasting impact on the viewer. Watch hxh; I promise you won't regret it.

Hunter X Hunter has to be the best anime out there. Without spoiling anything or going too deep into the details, I'm going to explain to you why it is so good : First, all the main characters are interesting, have layered personalities, goals and flaws. They all bring something into the show and none of them fall into the typical anime clichés even if they sometimes carry the traditional traits of the most well known characters. The villains in this show are certainly high point, as you always feel you favorite characters are in danger near them because they're so strong and unpredictable. Hisoka, the main antagonist, is refreshing as he differs from what you typically see in an anime : He's an emotionless psychopath who does not necessarily want to annihilate the protagonist the whole time, but instead strives to push him to his limits in order to have a good fight in the future. He helps him evolve and progress. Another strength of the show is its realism. Don't get me wrong, it is still an anime with characters that have pink hair and sometimes a lot of unbelievable physical characteristics, where everybody's basically a ninja that can run and jump at the speed of light without too much difficulty. In fact, the realism finds itself in the relationships and interactions between the characters that are complex and do not feel rushed. You won't ever see somebody defeat an enemy that has twice its strength just with the power of love or will, which is a problem for me in many animes, it does not work like that in real life ! Every major issue that is solved is followed by a consequence. Even if the protagonists are all prodigies in their own rights, they lose and bite the dust half the time and you'll be served a couple of deaths. You witness their progress in a perfect pace as every arc leads them to develop their respective abilities. Another high note is the genius of the author. I know it seems obvious that I think the creator's great considering that I've been praising his work for two paragaph, but it's still worth mentioning. Togashi touches a large number of themes and each arc feels like a completely new story. He is not afraid to break conventional rules and surprises its readers at every corner. For example, the Yorknew arc is really tense and suspenseful, you feel like any character could die in the next episode, but the plot finally concludes in an unsuspecting way, without explosions and immense battles, yet it somehow feels perfectly fine. Meanwhile, the following arc is way more lighthearted and fun without losing the interest of the viewer. You can see an end of the world like plot followed by a political arc all in the same show. One thing is for sure, HXH is NOT for kids, it seems like it actually is in the first few episodes, but it turns out really dark, creepy, or complex. Just a glimpse at a chapter of the manga makes you understand the dept of the writing. The major weakness of the show is its unbalanced quality. Some arcs can be masterpieces while some others make you want to listen to the episode on fast forward to get to the conclusion. It is mostly the case in the early episodes where you can tell the author hadn't totally figured out where he was going with the story. For example, it's pretty unrealistic that the characters had never heard of Nen (The ''magic'' element of the universe) before the end of their Hunter exams, considering they hadn't been living under rocks and they knew very well what a Hunter was. Think about it, if magic existed in real life, everybody would know about it, except if it is a kept secret, which is not the case in the story. In fact, after the protagonists learn about it, everyone uses it publicly and seems to be totally aware of what it is. Put those little flaws aside, and you'll have a wonderful time watching this show. I'm really picky when it comes to television but I couldn't get enough of Hunter X Hunter, even if i'm far from being the biggest anime fan. Do not get fooled by the childish beginning, I wasn't hooked either before the 30th episode or so. Let's just hope the author stops going on Hiatus and continues this incredible piece of work.

MODERATE SPOILERS HXH starts out, you know that typical shonen lighthearted show with our typical protagonist which has a typical and logical goal, to find his dad, from the first couple of episodes(2 filler/recap eps) some who only watched the first arc/hunter exam would give it a 7/8-10 but then it will come to the heavens arena arc where A lot was explained so you should listen well to Wing-San(sensei) and this arc will HYPE YOU UP for the next arc, which is the YORKNEW city or the phantom troupe arc which is one of the best arcs in anime of all time, It temporarily switches over to Kurapika's story when he was training and searching for the Kurta's eyes basically Gon and Kurapika are this arcs protags then we meet the Phantom troupe... BEST ANTAGONISTS, this arc, I was speechless, a lot of battles all forming the ending, which leads to a refreshing arc, the greed island arc(a.k.a the log horizon type,I don't want to put sao in this so yeah)this arc we got a lot of characters, nothing much to say but finally the show's best and longest arc, CHIMERA ANT ARC, I don't want to say anything that might change your perspective so I'll just say be ready for MAJOR goosebumps, and the last arc, this arc is just repairing the characters damages during the past arc but we'll meet the 12 zodiacs and ging, gon's father this arc will wrap things up and will make you miss the show.MUSIC:the op is good but they don't change it, they just change the lyrics a little and that's the new op,but the endings are beastlyAnimation-Madhouse, no words neededStory-20/10But don't expect a perfect show outta this
