Truly Dreadful Film
Let's be realistic.
just watch it!
A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
View MoreThis show should be shown around in directing and acting schools as a bad example. It is utterly stupid. The characters are dull and flat, they are completely inhuman, like they are ripped out from a bad soap opera. The story is compelling as long as you can withdraw the stupidity, but after a certain point it is simply dumb. There are major goofs, just to name few: Russel's arm came in contact with the poisonous goo, but it didn't affect him; everybody else died from it... The horrendous and artificial backgrounds. Why the hell do you need artificial background when you're in damn Florida? Did Eddie Cibrian and the girl who plays Kira spend all the budget on coke? Did they do pot with the director, that's why this whole show is so damn stoned? My favorite line from the show (just to exemplify its stupidity): -Oh, dad, you're here! -Yeah, and so are you! It was said during to climax of the whole season, in a very intense moment. It wasn't only bad, it was straight out of a comic show, as if this whole show was supposed to be a comedy. I really tried to give it a shot, but it's rubbish.
View MoreAliens invading Earth is nothing new of a premise, and this show seemed to pick up where the original V miniseries left off. Despite the almost cliché plot for the show, I found this story line absolutely riveting. After the first episode, I was hooked. For the most part, the acting looked fairly strong with great performances from William Fichtner, Tyler Labine, and Eddie Cibrian. As a first season of a show usually goes, there is great build up to the finale. However, since the show was canceled after the first season, I was expecting a cliffhanger of an ending, but this was not the case for me personally. The ending seemed to wrap up fairly well and left me wanting more without being too upset that I won't have enough resolution. Anyone looking for a good sci-fi like drama, this is a good series to burn through during a lazy weekend.
View MoreVery good TV show, with no end. William Fichtner(love him in a Prison Break) as sheriff and Eddie Cibrian as Russell was great acting. Very original way to see invasion on earth, there is something in the water, as you watch show you discovering what it is, is it good or is it bad, does it make people better, or make it worse...very interesting, and than what, end of the show :( . Acting was good, production was good, effect was god...Invasion have everything to become great TV show. I see many TV shows that are much worse than this one, and they have 4, 5 season. I really hate those TV network who start something, and doesn't finished. It is great contempt to fans of show, and it is not all right. I am very disappointed.
View MoreA small town in Florida becomes isolated after a severe hurricane, which is apparently exactly what the aliens, who are using the weather as cover to enter the water and start killing and duplicating the residents, want. But that's only half the story.Events are told through the eyes of a splintered family; park ranger Russell Varon (Eddie Cibrian) and his new wife, reporter Larkin Groves (Lisa Sheridan), his two children, his ex-wife Mariel Underlay, who is chief of staff at the local hospital, and who is now married to the sheriff (William Fichtner). The series is nicely suspenseful, and fleshes out the characters so that you really care what happens to them. It keeps you hooked and slowly doles out the reality in tantalizing bits and pieces to the characters and the viewers.
