    Good concept, poorly executed.

I was totally surprised at how great this film. You could feel your paranoia rise as the film went on and as you gradually learned the details of the real situation.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

This show is unlike anything I've watched. Joe Perra is an incredible actor playing a socially awkward but good hearted man that talks and acts like hes 80. The humor is dry but not cynical. Absurd but in a subtler way than most adult swim shows, strangely informative at times about topics from rocks to rat prevention, and above all, good lord, this show just soothes your soul. I have not experienced a show like this before or felt the need to leave a review. I really hope it gets another season

Joe Pera Talks with You is a show on adult swim that explores the dull life of music teacher Joe Pera, who lives on a small lake superior town in Minnesota. Joe's everyday adventures which may include going to a breakfast diner, or hearing a new song on the radio are the focus of each episode. From reading this review so far, you would think it's a boring show, correct? Well, it is. But the tedium of this show is actually quite refreshing, and extremely calming. Each story is told through the conscious of Joe Pera, who seems to both overcomplicate, and yet oversimplify everything he experiences at the same time. It's probably the most complicated, yet easy to understand shows I've ever watched. While difficult to figure out, you don't find yourself trying to figure it out while watching. This show both opens your eyes to the depth of everyday activities, but is also quite capable of surprising you with a cheap laugh or two through awkward, yet extremely human experiences. Overall, this is an extremely humbling, but also edgy series. Only downfall is Joe Pera's schtick could get old pretty quick. But only time will tell if that's the case. if this review wasn't helpful, my only defense is that this show makes it extremely difficult to make heads or tails of, but it definitely got me thinking enough to review it. Good watch!

This show is not only very funny, but relaxing in a way. Everyone I have shown this to loves it. The show is entertaining, and has great commentary on simple things, and this is fortified by the storyline, which makes the viewer want to keep watching as well. I will say, it is not a typical adult swim program, but it is a very calm, yet funny, show to hang out and enjoy

I don't understand why this is getting a positive reception. That's just my personal thought on the show. This show is just not good. It doesn't deserve a second season and it doesn't feel like an [AS} show. Should've been on IFC instead of Adult Swim.
