The funny, heartfelt story of The Kims, a Korean-Canadian family, running a convenience store in downtown Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Kim ('Appa' and 'Umma') immigrated to Toronto in the '80s to set up shop near Regent Park and had two kids, Jung and Janet who are now young adults. However, when Jung was 16, he and Appa had a major falling out involving a physical fight, stolen money and Jung leaving home. Father and son have been estranged since.

BroadcastChic Excellent, a Must See
Hulkeasexo it is the rare 'crazy' movie that actually has something to say.
Senteur As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
lynn-jardas Finally something I can watch with my teens! Refreshing, smart, funny.........even my teens (boy and girl) like it! Sooo tired of the raunchy shows that are passed off as comedy.Wish there were more of these !!
Mister Gorys This show's not bad at all. Some decent and above decent acting (I like the shop owner a lot he's very funny). The writing leaves a lot to be desired but this is better than a lot of other shows. Like Second Jen and Baroness Von Sketch suck next to this.
wwthebig-78012 Binge watched the first two seasons on Netflix. Very much entertained. The cast in its entirety captured funny, warm and likable characters. Funny. I am not Asian, Irish-Scot hillbilly, I did enjoy this production.
sondra-188-658163 This show has all the style elements of the best comedies. Perceptive observations of quirky human behavior, the funny contrasts that result when cultures collide, and the family interactions of people who love each other but who also enjoy being independent. The writing is excellent, and the actors do the very best job possible with their lines- and they get extra points for the occasional physical gag. It's a show the whole family will enjoy, which is rare enough. All that makes this show a real treasure. And thankfully, no laugh track.
