    Fantastic!

    Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.

    The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

    The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

    I never had a chance to watch the series, and I'm sad that that's the case, because from what I've heard, it was a wonderful show.The reason it was so short lived is that it's kind of hard to get over the death of the actor playing one of the main characters. Mark Frankel, who played Julian Luna, was killed in a motorcycle accident after having filmed the episodes that were aired. It wasn't FOX's fault. (I know, they were doing that to a lot of shows at that point, and a lot of the networks still are.) It was simply a decision to honor him by shutting the show down instead of finding a new guy and trying to shoehorn him into an established role.

    I know FOX has a history of killing good series before their time, see Strange Luck or Firefly, but they may have taken the high ground discontinuing Kindred: The Embraced. The ratings were there for the show and they were going to continue on with the series except for the fact that Mark Frankel was killed in a motorcycle accident. They could have continued the series without him but felt it would have been the wrong thing to do. Maybe it has been long enough and a network should think about redoing the series. We get series like Blood Ties and Moonlight, etc. and they can't seem to make it these days. Perhaps they should try a license that is more well known. I know that the Star Wars live action series will be huge and so would a fantasy series called Dungeons and Dragons. How about Shadowrun or Champions. Heroes as well as the success of all of the Marvel movies lately has got to show the industry that there is an audience out there. I don't think a series based on Vampire would be a guaranteed hit but it would do well on HBO or Showtime. Thanks

    I remember this short lived show. I don't know why or if this show was taken off the air. I know the actor playing Julian, Mark Frankel was killed in a tragic accident. I recently saw it on the Sci-fi channel and realized Adrienne Paul could have taken over the role of Julian. If you don't remember who Adrienne Paul is, he's the actor that played the lead role in the Highlander TV series. The Sci-fi channel showed a couple of episodes in early December 2007. Adrienne Paul is a dead ringer for Mark Frankel. That series could have continued to run. Does anyone know what happened or why it was canceled? I loved that show and until the Sci-fi channel showed it recently I had forgotten all about it.

    I LOVED THIS SHOW!!! I thought that all of the characters were played by well chosen actors and although the show may not not have been quite what masquerade fans would have expected but like film usually does it lacks the power of its predeceser but still manages to be a great series in its own write. STILL THIS SHOW (LIKE ALL THE BEST) SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM TELEVISION QUITE SO SOON..Its a TRAVESTY!!!
