Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

It is a shame that this show was cancelled. It was far better than anything currently on TV today! It also introduced me to Andrew Braugher, and what a wonderful actor he is. Oh, I need 5 lines to post a comment. Here we go.Blah. Blah. Blah.Let's see if that will do???

I found this show really engaging. The characters have their distinct personalities and idiosyncrasies, but they're both consistent and inconsistent in very real, believable, human ways. I watched a lot of episodes sitting on the couch near my brother during a vacation, and he gave up asking me what I was chuckling about cause there was so much to laugh at throughout the series. It's funny, but it's also way more than that -- I was familiar with the main actors from other popular shows, but these characters have so much more depth than what I had seen from these actors before, and I will always see them differently as a result. In some more formulaic series you get a handle on the pattern, and you can quickly guess what will happen next when a character is confronted with certain challenges -- and I won't knock that, cause that's fine and enjoyable in its own right -- but in this series there were no guarantees. And it wasn't like I was kept guessing just for the sake of being kept guessing -- it was for the sake of authenticity, from what I could tell. Having finished both seasons, I'm missing the characters already.

My husband and I really enjoyed this show. We are both in our early 30s yet we found this true to life, comical, and not at all dated. The casting, acting, and writing are superior to most of the garbage on TV. There's not a whole lot my husband and I can agree on watching together, but this is certainly a great show. Loved the realities they weave into this show down to doing what you have to do for your family (working at dad's car dealership) and how through it all there are unexpected and pleasant surprises. There's always that one friend that can't seem to get it together and seems to have things handed to him yet you love em anyway. Enjoyed it right down to the season finale. We just hope to see it again next year...don't cancel this show!!

I swear the writers have been spying on my life for the last 3 years. Separated, divorced, dating for the first time, trying to act cool, finding yourself, yoga, insecurity.....this show has it all. 50 is the new 18!!! Ray Romano, Scott Bakula, and Andrew Braugher do an amazing job of playing the characters we have all become in our 50s. So maybe I am not as weird and unusual as I thought I was.I especially liked the most recent episode with Ray's first date in 20 years. Hilarious and 100% on target. Thanks Ray and Mike for creating the perfect Monday night series. All of you should win the Emmys! Ray -- Please feel free to contact me if you want some story ideas. I have many. The time I joined the kickball league with a bunch of 20 somethings. Dating very weird women that resulted in the creation of genres -- the new age women, the women that hasn't had a relationship longer than 3 months over 30 years, the women that mom still changes their sheets every week. This list is endless. My dating coach Carlos, married, that lives vicariously through my life but provide excellent advice learned in high school. I love this show!!! Thank you so much!
